The thief struck again! Bella could see the signs on the soft dark soil below the low backyard fence. It had avoided coming through the gate this time and had opted for the fence around the back. The fence had been built low here so that one could oversee the garden at the back of the main building without going into it using the wooden door fixed in the fence.
The thief had come through there because it was less likely anyone would hear his approach and the vegetables and corn behind the garden provided a good cover for it. The thief had made away with one of the two remaining broilers her Mum was reserving for Nana's birthday dinner the next day.
They had a ferocious looking pitbull dog but due to it recent habit of digging around the house and running down young flowers, her father had asked it be kept on a leash to keep his reckless activities on a low key, save for it barking that sounds almost like the roaring of a young lion, the dog's activities was pretty much on the low key as expected.
But with what had transpired on the thief's two visitation, she doubt if the dog will still be kept on a leash for long.
