In the previous post I mentioned that my daughter Rafaella had already ordered me a jar decorated with a unicorn horn and for me, what I promised is debt, so without wasting time I started to work on her longed jar.

En el post anterior mes comenté que mi hija Rafaella ya me había encargado un frasco decorado con un cuerno de unicornio y para mí, lo prometido es deuda, así que sin perder tiempo me puse trabajar en su anhelado frasco.

Rafa gave me some indications. She told me that she wanted it to have manes, of course she said: "hair", but obviously she meant the manes, she made me laugh a lot with the hair thing. She also told me to wear flowers and with these very clear specifications, I got to work.

Rafa me dió algunas indicaciones. Me dijo que deseaba que tuviera crines, claro ella me dijo: "cabello", pero obviamente se refería a las crines, me hizo reír mucho con lo del cabello. También me dijo que llevara flores y con estas clarísimas especificaciones, me puse a trabajar.

I used the wool I had in my bag. I take this opportunity to tell you that the store where I used to buy my material closed, I don't know if they moved to another place, the truth is that for now I don't know where I'm going to stock up, so although I obviously wanted other colors, I worked with what was available.

Utilicé la lana que tenia en mi bolsa. Aprovecho para comentarles que cerraron la tienda donde compraba mi material, no sé si se mudaron a otro lado, lo cierto es que por ahora no se dónde me voy a surtir, así que aunque deseaba obviamente otros colores, trabajé con lo disponible.

I made the lid of the jar using the pattern I made earlier. I remind you that you start with 6 low stitches in a magic ring and increase 6 stitches in each row progressively until you reach 42 stitches in row 7 and then 5 rows to cover the edge of the lid. For the curly edge you knit 3 chain stitches in the air and fix them in the next stitch. That's the whole process to make the cover.

Realice la tapa del frasco usando como patrón en que hice con anterioridad. Les recuerdo que se comienza con 6 puntos bajos en un anillo mágico y vamos aumentando 6 puntos en cada vuelta de manera progresiva hasta llegar a completar 42 puntos en la vuelta 7 y luego 5 vueltas para cubrir el borde de la tapa Para el borde rizado se realizan 3 puntos cadenas al aire y se fijan en el punto contiguo. Eso es todo el proceso para hacer la tapa.

I made the horn starting from 6 low stitches in a magic ring and increasing two stitches every other round. It should be noted that the increases were always made in the same stitch where I made the increase in the previous round and at the end, with a wool needle, I made some spiral stitches to give the shape of the unicorn's horn.

El cuerno lo realicé partiendo de 6 puntos bajos en un anillo mágico y aumentando de manera dos puntos cada dos vueltas. Cabe señalar, que los aumentos los realicé siempre en el mismo punto dónde hice el aumento en la vuelta anterior y al final, con una aguja lanera, realicé algunas puntadas en forma de espiral para dar forma de cuerno de unicornio.

I made several chains with magenta and white yarn for the mane and used some flowers left over from previous projects. The process of assembling everything is quite simple. Just glue everything in place with hot silicone. The only thing you have to take care of in this part is to match the front of the jar with the front of the lid to avoid it being sideways. In this case, what I recommend is to close the jar and then glue everything on the lid because if we work the lid separately there is a risk that the fronts do not match.

Realice varias cadenas con lana magenta y blanca para las crines y utilicé algunas flores que me han sobrado de proyectos a anteriores. El proceso de ensamblar todo es bastante simple. Solo hay que ir pegando cada cosa en su sitio con silicón caliente. Lo único que hay que cuidar en esta parte es hacer coincidir el frente del frasco con el frente de la tapa para evitar que quede de lado. En este caso lo que recomiendo en cerrar el frasco y luego pegar todo sobre la tapa porque si trabajamos la tapa aparte se corre el riesgo de que no coincidan los frentes.

Excited I finished my jar and I did it in record time. When I showed it to Rafaella, she smiled slightly and I immediately knew something was missing, when I asked her why I didn't make her hair rainbow colored. She meant all the colors of the rainbow and that's when I realized how detail oriented and observant a child can be. Of course I was disappointed that I didn't meet all her expectations, but she got over it quickly and is now happy with her bottle, which I don't really know what use she's going to make of it. Emocionada terminé mi frasco y lo hice en tiempo record. Cuando se lo mostré a Rafaella, sonrió ligeramente y de inmediato supe que algo faltaba, al preguntarle me respondió que por qué no le hice el cabello de color arcoiris. Se refería a todos los colores del arcoiris y allí me percaté de lo detallista y observador que puede ser un niño. Claro está que me desilusionó no haber llenado todas sus espectativas, aún así, se le pasó rápidamente y ya está contenta con su frasco, que en realidad no se que uso le va a dar. Saludos a todos.
