Recreating a robotic makeup requires hours of work, but I get so excited about doing makeup that I immerse myself for hours in my parallel world and when I wake up it's because the little needle on the clock has already turned several times. However, I am still happy to see the progress that has been made since the beginning of the clean canvas of my face. Here I leave you the detail of how I went about recreating this Terminator inspired makeup without skin. Here I leave you the image from where I took reference to work. It should be noted that it is not an exact replica, I just took some focal points to make my own interpretation.

Recrear un maquillaje robótico requiere de horas de trabajo, pero a mí me emociona tanto maquillar que me sumerjo por horas en mi mundo paralelo y cuando despierto es porque la aguja pequeña del reloj ya ha dado varias vueltas. Sin embargo, yo sigo feliz de ver los avances de los que se ha logrado desde el inicio del lienzo limpio de mi rostro. Aquí les dejo el detalle de cómo fui recreando este maquillaje inspirado en Terminator sin piel. Aquí les dejo la imagen de dónde tome referencia para trabajar. Cabe señalar que no es una réplica exacta, solo tome algunos puntos focales para hacer mi propia interpretación.

In the first step I delimited the work area. I made a line dividing the face and chest in what will be the machine part and the skin part. After that I applied gold body paint and then with black eye pencil I made the paint sketch. If you are wondering why I used gold base, the reason is that it is an almost neutral color in contrast to my skin tone and I need to apply a base first to help the pencil run the pencil with which I make the sketch and second for the application of pigments later adhere.

En el primer paso delimité el área de trabajo. Realicé un trazo que divide el rostro y pecho en lo que será la parte máquina y la parte piel. Luego de eso apliqué pintura corporal color dorada y luego con lápiz para ojos negro realicé el boceto de pintura. Si se preguntan por qué usé base dorada, la razón es que es un color casi neutro en contraste con mi tono de piel y necesito aplicar una base primero que ayude a correr el lápiz el lápiz con que hago el boceto y segundo para la aplicación de pigmentos posteriormente se adhieran.

With black body paint I gave a first application of paint in the dark areas or depth and applied satin shadow color lead on what would be the hardware and parts of the robot.

With white and gold body paint I started to give shades and luminosity to the pieces to give a metallic appearance. At this point I also made a circle on my eyelid that would be the characteristic robotic eye of my characterization.

Con pintura corporal blanca y dorada empecé a dar matices y luminosidad en las piezas para dar apariencia metálica. En este punto también realicé un círculo sobre mi párpado que sería el característico ojo robótico de mi caracterización.

At this point I worked in more detail the lights and shadows to give movement and depth and applied the second coat of black paint on the dark part. A very important step that I can't skip when I do this kind of make-up is to retouch and clean the edge lines. As it is a work of hours, the pigments are absorbed and also contaminated with other colors so it is always necessary to retouch to make a cleaner job.

En este punto trabajé más detalladamente las luces y sombras para dar movimiento y profundidad y apliqué la segunda capa de pintura negra en la parte en oscuridad. Un paso muy importante que no me puedo saltar cuando hago este tipo de maquillaje es retocar un limpiar las líneas de borde. Cómo es un trabajo de horas, los pigmentos se absorben y además se contaminan con otros colores por ello siempre es necesario retocar para hacer un trabajo más limpio.

I applied foundation on the part of my face that will remain as skin and applied eye makeup quickly and easily. The first thing I did was to make a line from the inner part of the eye socket to the end of the eye protruding a little and extended it below the waterline. Then I applied blue shadow from the tear trough towards the septum and extended it towards the fixed eyelid sealing the black pencil applied previously. I also sealed under the waterline and applied pearl shadow on the mobile eyelid. I applied carmine red pencil on the lips.

Apliqué base de maquillaje en la parte de mi rostro que quedará como piel y maquillé los ojos de forma rápida y sencilla. Lo primero que hice fue realizar un trazo desde la parte interna de la cuenca del ojo hasta el final sobresaliendo un poco y lo extendí por debajo de la línea del agua. Luego apliqué sombra color azul en el lagrimal hacia el tabique y lo extendí hacia el párpado fijo sellando el lápiz negro aplicado anteriormente. De igual forma sellé debajo de la línea del agua y aplique sombra perla en el párpado móvil. Apliqué lápiz rojo carmín en los labios.
