[ENG/ESP] Makeup Inspired By Mama Imelda From The Movie Coco / Maquillaje Inspirado En Mamá Imelda De La Película Coco

I have tried to replicate many characters through makeup artistry and as easy as it may seem I am always surprised by the amount of details and how complicated it is to achieve certain effects such as depth, volume and movement. Today I was inspired by Mama Imelda, Miguel's great grandmother in the movie Coco. I did this make-up in three parts: the sketch, the application of paint on the bone structure, and the details such as shading, eyes, among others. The steps are detailed below:

He intentado replicar muchos personajes a través del maquillaje artístico y por más fácil que parezca siempre me sorprende la cantidad de detalles y lo complicado de conseguir ciertos efectos como la profundidad, el volumen y movimiento. Hoy me inspiré en mamá Imelda, la tátara abuela de Miguel en la película Coco. Este maquillé lo realicé en tres partes: El boceto, la aplicación de pintura en la estructura ósea, y los detalles como sombreados, ojos, entre otros. Los pasos los detallo a continuación:

With a black eye pencil I made the strokes of the different parts that make up the complete design.

Con un lápiz de ojos negro realicé los trazos de las diferentes partes que conforman el diseño completo.

I applied white body paint on the bone structure, and I also applied lilac and blue body paint on the small part I made of the dress. Then I proceeded to apply Saturday shading on the bones.

Apliqué pintura corporal blanca en la estructura ósea, y también coloqué pintura corporal color lila y azul en la pequeña parte que realicé del vestido. Luego procedí a aplicar el sábado sombreado en los huesos

Paint the eye socket with black body paint, and on the moving eyelids paint the eyes using white, brown and black body paint. At this point also paint with black body paint the nostril cavity.

Pinte la cavidad del ojo con pintura corporal negra, y sobre los párpados móviles pinte los ojos usando pintura corporal blanca, marrón y negra. En este punto también pinte con pintura corporal negra la cavidad de las fosas nasales.

Finally I applied black cold paint on the shoulders to give depth to the design and painted the eyelashes and other details typical of the original caricature. This is the result. I don't usually edit the photos of my makeups except for a little lighting if I need it, but in this case I decided to put a black background because the makeup lends itself to it, for that I used PicsArt. Por último apliqué pintura al frío color negro sobre los hombros para dar profundidad al diseño y pinte las pestañas y otros detalles propios de la caricatura original. Este es el resultado. No acostumbro a editar las fotos de mis maquillajes excepto por un poco de iluminación si me hace falta, pero en este caso me animé a colocar un fondo negro porque el maquillaje se presta para ello, para ello utilicé PicsArt.
