It may be that in front of some challenges I show a little insecurity, it is something of my personality that I am struggling with, because it is not something that favors me. It is good to be aware of our limitations, but if we do not decide to move forward and overcome those limitations, stagnation threatens us, and it is not the best creative state in which we can be.

Puede ser que frente algunos retos muestre un poco de inseguridad, es algo de mi personalidad con lo estoy batallando, pues no es algo que me favorezca. Es bueno estar consiente de nuestras limitaciones, pero si no decidimos avanzar y superar esas limitaciones nos amenaza el estancamiento, y no es el mejor estado creativo en el que podamos estar.

This week I set out to make my first grannys, I didn't want to be too ambitious, but very enthusiastic because they are beautiful and very versatile and everyone who loves crochet should know at least some basic patterns. Of course, I don't want to be left out and I started without giving them any more time.

Esta semana me propuse realizar mis primeros grannys, no quise ser demasiado ambiciosa, pero sí muy entusiasta ya que son hermosos y muy versátiles y todo todo el que ama el crochet debe saber al menos, algunos modelos básicos. Desde luego, no me quiero quedar fuera y empecé sin darles más largas al asunto.

I chose to make the square grannys because they seemed simpler, not only to make them, but I was already thinking about what these pretty daisy grannys would be used for and the square ones, in my opinion are easier to assemble and turn them into one piece.

Elegí hacer los grannys cuadrados porque me parecieron más sencillos, no solo para elaborarlos, sino que ya estaba pensando en qué serían utilizados estos bonitos grannys de margarita y los cuadrados, en mi opinión son más fáciles de ensamblar y convertirlos en una sola pieza.

I used two types of yarn, for the daisies I used cotton yarn and for the rest of the square I used a wine colored yarn that a year ago was meant to be a sweater, but I didn't buy the amount I needed and I didn't get any more, so I unknitted what I had already advanced and I have been using it in other projects.

Utilicé dos tipos de hilo, para las margaritas usé hilo de algodón y para el resto de cuadrado una lana color vino que hace un año tenía el destino de ser un suéter, pero no compré la cantidad que necesitaba y ya no conseguí, así que destejí lo que ya había avanzado y lo he ido usando en otros proyectos.

The daisies are 12 petals. To make them we started with a magic ring with 12 double high stitches and used the yellow yarn. The petals are made with the white thread and are 4 double high stitches closed in the same point, we continue with 3 chains and in the next space in the center of the daisy, that is, in the separation between each point of the yellow circle, there we make a petal.

Las margaritas son de 12 pétalos. Para hacerlas comenzamos con un anillo mágico con 12 puntos altos dobles y utilizamos el hilo amarillo. Los pétalos los elaboramos con el hilo blanco y son 4 puntos altos dobles cerrados en un mismo punto, seguimos con 3 cadenas y en el siguiente espacio del centro de la margarita, es decir, en la separación que hay entre cada punto del círculo amarillo, allí elaboramos un pétalo.

Now let's go with the square. We pick up 3 chain stitches between two petals. Next we make 2 high stitches and we will get three high stitches in that space counting as a high stitch the three chains we have picked up. In the next space we pick up 3 high stitches.

Ahora vamos con el cuadrado. Levantamos 3 puntos de cadena entre dos pétalos. Seguidamente realizamos 2 puntos altos y obtendremos tres puntos altos en ese espacio contando como punto alto las tres cadenas que hemos levantado. En el siguiente espacio levantamos 3 puntos altos.

In the next space we pick up 3 separate high stitches of 3 chains and 3 more high stitches. These 3 chains form the first corner of the square. We continue with 3 high stitches between the next two petals and repeat the step of the 6 high stitches separated by 3 chains which will be the second corner until the square is completed. Simplified, every two petals we make a corner.

En el siguiente espacio levantamos 3 puntos altos separados de 3 cadenas y 3 puntos altos más. Estas 3 cadenas forman la primera esquina del cuadrado. Seguimos con 3 puntos altos entre los dos pétalos que siguen y repetimos el paso de los 6 puntos altos separados de 3 cadenas que será la segunda esquina hasta completar el cuadrado. Simplificado, cada dos pétalos armamos una esquina.

In this opportunity, we work the corners with 2 double crochet stitches plus 2 chains, that is to say that the second round consists of 16 double crochet stitches separated by 2 chains in the corners of each side.
