Hello to all members of the #Needleworkmonday community! Happy start to the week—I hope it’s productive from start to finish. I’m taking this opportunity to share my new project with my followers—it’s a useful item that serves as a bookmark, perfect for keeping track of where you are in a book. Bookmarks usually need to be very thin so they don’t damage the book. For this project, I chose a daisy motif made with embroidery floss, using basic crochet stitches such as chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. It’s quick and easy to make. Without further ado, I invite you to stick around and join me as I make a bookmark.
Hola a todos los miembros de la comunidad #Needleworkmonday, feliz inicio de semana, esperando que sea productiva en su totalidad. Aprovecho la plataforma para mostrar mi nuevo contenido a mis seguidores, es algo útil que nos sirve como marcador de libros (o marcapáginas), ideal para recordar por dónde vamos en la lectura. Por lo general, los marcadores de lectura tienen que ser súper delgados para no dañar el libro. Escogí para el proyecto el motivo de una flor de margarita hecha con hilo pabilo, aplicando puntos de crochet básicos como: punto cadeneta, punto bajo, punto alto y punto deslizado. Es rápido y fácil de hacer. Sin más preámbulos, los invito a quedarse por aquí y me acompañen mientras hago un marcapáginas.
🌼MATERIALS//MATERIALES 🌼
- White, yellow, and green yarn.
- 0 mm crochet hook.
- Scissors.
- Hilo pabilo color blanco, amarillo y verde.
- Aguja de ganchillo 0 mm.
- Tijera.
🌼STEPS//PASOS🌼
- Start a magic loop by chaining three stitches, which will become the first single crochet; continue repeating this process until you have a total of 12 single crochets; close the loop with a slip stitch, then pull the yarn tight to close the loop.
- Iniciar un anillo mágico, haciendo tres puntos de cadeneta, para convertirse en el primer punto bajo, continuar repitiendo el procedimiento hasta obtener un total de 12 puntos bajos, para cerrar con punto deslizado, tirar del hilo para cerrar el anillo.
- How to change the yarn color: Make a small loop with the white yarn, secure it behind the base piece, then insert the hook and chain 10 stitches; next, work a single crochet into the nearest stitch and continue repeating the process until the flower is complete. When you reach the last petal, work a slip stitch.
- Cómo vamos a cambiar de color del hilo: hacer un pequeño bucle con el hilo blanco, fijarlo por detrás de la pieza base, luego enganchar con la aguja y comenzar a hacer 10 puntos de cadena; luego enganchar en el punto más cercano con un punto bajo y continuar repitiendo el procedimiento hasta completar la flor. Al llegar al último pétalo, hacer punto deslizado.
- Now make the stem with a total of 50 chain stitches.
- Ahora hacer el tallo con un total de 50 puntos de cadeneta.
- For the leaf🍃, chain 7 stitches as the base: work 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet followed by 2 double crochets, continue with 1 half double crochet, and then 1 single crochet. Repeat the process to complete the leaf, ending with a slip stitch.
- Para la hoja🍃, hacer 7 puntos en cadena como base: hacer un punto bajo, 1 punto medio seguido de 2 puntos altos, continuar con 1 punto medio y luego 1 punto bajo. Repetir el procedimiento para completar la hoja, finalizar con punto deslizado.
- Attach the leaf to the stem using the knitting needle.
- Pegar la hoja al tallo con ayuda de la aguja de tejer.
- Now assemble the pieces using the knitting needle. Trim off the excess fabric.
- Ahora a ensamblar las piezas con ayuda de la aguja de tejer. Cortar el material sobrante.
