[ENG/ESP] Artistic Makeup Ocean Depths. / Maquillaje Artístico Profundidades Del Océano.

The deep sea awakens a lot of curiosity in most people, and in some cases even some fear because of how enigmatic it seems. Particularly I have not even had an experience of snorkeling and honestly I think I would not dare to do it, as fantastic as it seems I can not help but feel panic with all that unknown world around me, just imagining it makes me tense, the riskiest thing I have done has been to visit some aquariums and for me it is enough. However, I love watching documentaries about the seabed and I find each creature magically beautiful and inspiring, especially those that live in the deep sea, where there is no access to sunlight. Creatures that live at depths of over 1000 meters lack vision and have developed certain qualities that allow them to orient themselves and search for food. They also have luminous and very bright colors, in short they are incredible creatures. I took inspiration from the deep sea and these creatures to create a make-up. Here are the details of the process.

Las profundidades marinas despiertan mucha curiosidad en la mayoría de las personas, y en algunos casos hasta algo de temor por lo enigmático que parece. Particularmente no he tenido una experiencia ni siquiera de buceo con snorkel y sinceramente creo que no me atrevería a hacerlo, por fantástico que parezca no puedo evitar sentir pánico con todo ese mundo desconocido a mi alrededor, nada más de imaginarlo me pone tensa, la más arriesgado que he hecho ha sido visitar algunos acuarios y para mí es suficiente. Sin embargo, me encanta mirar documentales sobre el fondo marino y cada criatura me parece mágicamente hermosa e inspiradora, especialmente las que habitan en las profundidades del mar, dónde no hay acceso la luz solar. Las criaturas que habitan a más de 1000 metros de profundidad carecen de visión y has desarrollado ciertas cualidades que le permiten orientarse y buscar alimentos. También tienen colores luminosos y muy llamativos, en síntesis son criaturas increíbles. Tome inspiración de las profundidades marinas y de estas criaturas para crear un maquillaje. I applied white and blue cream body makeup on the middle of the face and on the chest and shoulders. The intention of the makeup is to make a gradient of colors starting from black which represents the deepest part of the seabed and going to navy blue, until reaching aqua green. After applying the cream body makeup, I sealed it with black eye shadows and different shades of blue.

Apliqué maquillaje corporal en crema color blanco y azul en la mitad del rostro y en el pecho y hombros. La intención del maquillaje es hacer un degradado de colores empezando desde el negro que representa la parte más profunda del lecho marino y pasando al azul marino, hasta llegar a verde agua. Luego de aplicar el maquillaje corporal en crema, lo sellé con sombras para ojos negro y diferentes tonos de azul.

Once I had applied all the shades of blue, I blended with a thick brush.

Una vez aplicado todos los tonos de azul degradando dichos colores, pasé a difuminar haciendo uso de una brocha gruesa.

With white body paint I made three marine figures: an abyssal fish, an anemone and a squid. After applying the white base I worked the colors with eye shadows and with black and white cold paint I worked the shadows and highlights.

Con pintura corporal color blanco realicé tres figura marinas: un pez abisal, un anémona y un calamar. Luego de aplicar la base blanca trabajé los colores con sombras para ojos y con pintura al frío blanco y negro trabajé las sombras e iluminaciones.
