This doll does not have a special origin, that is, it is not born of any particular inspiration, I just wanted to knit a doll, however once finished, I loved it because I think the improvements are remarkable, at least I perceive it. My first dolls are full of imperfections, perhaps I have been a little ambitious when it comes to undertake knitting projects, something that is not entirely wrong, I have launched to knit a doll when I was just learning to make a circumference and still not perfect, but that has not been an obstacle, but I am learning in the process, something that has a lot of weight as a motivating agent.

Esta muñeca no tiene un origen especial, es decir, no nace de alguna inspiración en particular, sólo tenía ganas de tejer una muñeca, sin embargo una vez terminada, la amé pues pienso que las mejoras son notables, al menos yo lo percibo. Mis primeras muñecas están llenas de imperfecciones, quizás he sido un poco ambiciosa a la hora de emprender proyectos de tejido, algo que no está del todo mal, me he lanzado a tejer una muñeca cuando apenas estaba aprendiendo realizar una circunferencia y todavía no me quedan perfectas, pero eso no me ha sido obstáculo, sino que voy aprendiendo en el proceso, algo que tiene mucho peso como agente motivador.

I wanted to knit the whole body, from head to toe, I started with the feet and I was thrilled when I could knit them with a point, the only time I tried it was with my sunflower doll, they were a little strange, but this time I was more than satisfied. I continued with the legs and knitted with white a kind of bodysuit up to the armpits, there I inserted the arms and continued up to the shoulders, neck and head, following my instinct and logic more than anything else.

Quería tejer el cuerpo completo, de pies a cabeza, empecé por los pies y me invadió la emoción cuando puede realizarlos con punta, la única vez que lo intenté fue con mi muñeca girasol, quedaron algo raros, pero esta vez quedé más que conforme. Continué con las piernas y tejí con blanco una especie de body hasta la altura de las axilas, allí inserte los brazos y seguí hasta los hombros, cuello y cabeza, siguiendo mi instinto y la lógica más que otra cosa.

I made several changes in the process, for example in the skirt, I wanted to combine an olive green color that I love, but it is a Macramé yarn, to make bags, when I had a good part of the rectangle, I realized that it was getting thick and stiff, therefore I could not make the gathers for the waistband, I discarded that work and resumed it with orange cotton yarn and the result was much better, the skirt had a nice flared structure, which I love.

Hice varios cambios en el proceso, por ejemplo en la falda, quería combinar un color verde oliva que me encanta, pero es un hilo Macramé, para hacer bolsos, cuando ya tenía una buena parte del rectángulo, me percaté de que estaba quedando gruesa y rígida, por ende no podría hacer el frunce para la pretina de la cintura, descante ese trabajo y lo reanudé con hilo de algodón color naranja y el resultado fue mucho mejor, la falta quedó con una linda estructura acampanada, que me encanta.

I wove the hair twice, first I had made it too long, and although it was getting beautiful, I was not going to reach that color, and sometimes it is a mess to find the same color again, so I made a change of plans with a smaller circumference and the hair a third shorter.

El cabello lo tejí dos veces, primero lo había hecho muy largo, y aunque iba quedando precioso, no me iba a alcanzar ese color, y a veces es un lío encontrar el mismo color nuevamente, así que hice cambio de planes con una circunferencia más pequeña y el cabello un tercio más corto.

I covered the shoulders with a knitted strip that I embroidered with orange flowers, it gave it a gardener look, but with the bag and the shoes I think I went a little bit down on that vibe, it's not that I didn't like it, it's just that it wasn't what I had in mind.

Cubrí los hombros con una tira tejida a la que le bordé flores naranja, le dio un aire de jardinera, pero con el bolso y los zapatos creo que le bajé un poco a esa onda, no es que no me gusté, es que no era lo que tenía en mente.

I also made a beret with the gray yarn to match the bag, the reason for the beret was totally intentional, I wanted my doll to have a modern look. Something very particular that happened to me while I was knitting the beret, is that I felt stuck, no matter how much I knitted and knitted, and went round and round, I did not reach the size I needed according to the size of my head. Now I was worried it would be too big headed, but no, when I finally got it to the right size and pinned it in place, I thought it looked the cutest.

También hice una boina con el hilo gris para que hiciera juego con el bolso, la razón de la boina fue totalmente intencional, quería que mi muñeca tuviera un aire moderno. Algo bien particular que me pasó mientras tejía la boina, es que me sentía estancada, por más que tejía y tejía, y daba vueltas y vueltas, no alcanzaba el tamaño que necesitaba según el tamaño de la cabeza. Ahora me preocupaba que fuera muy cabezona, pero no, cuando finalmente llegué al tamaño adecuado y la fijé en su lugar, me pareció de lo más linda.
