¡Saludos amigos gastronómicos!👩🏻🍳.
Greetings, fellow food lovers!👩🏻🍳.
Welcome back to my homemade recipe blog! Today, you’ll be joining me as I bake a delicious, simple, small cake—perfect for enjoying with the family. It’s a vanilla-and-butter-based cake (similar to a pound cake), and this recipe is a real lifesaver when you need to whip up an easy dessert with just a few basic ingredients—the kind you likely already have on hand, such as flour, eggs, milk, and sugar.
Ingredientes(1/4 kg):
Ingredient(1/4 kg):
- 300 gr de harina leudante
- 100 gr de mantequilla
- 2 huevos
- 150 gr de azúcar
- 200 ml de leche
- 2 cucharaditas de esencia de vainilla
- 1 cucharadita de sal
- 300 g self-rising flour
- 100 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 200 ml milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt

Procedure:
Paso 01
Step 01
We begin by washing our hands thoroughly before handling the ingredients; then, taking a clean bowl, we add the butter as the first ingredient, followed by the sugar, and mix these ingredients together.
Paso 02
Step 02
Continue mixing the butter and sugar; the goal here is to cream both ingredients together until you achieve a smooth, creamy texture. You can mix for about 5 minutes—which is what I did—and then add the eggs. It’s best to crack each egg into a separate cup first, rather than adding them directly to the mixture, just in case one of them happens to be bad.
Paso 03
Step 03
Next, we stir in the eggs, incorporating them into the mixture; then, we add the teaspoon of salt and stir the mixture once again.
Paso 04
Step 04
Next, we add the vanilla and sift in the flour—using a strainer to prevent any lumps—by sifting in a portion of the flour, followed by a bit of milk, and incorporating both ingredients gradually using a folding motion until fully combined.
Paso 05
Step 05
The batter is ready when small bubbles appear on the surface and there are no lumps left. I had previously greased my cake pan with butter and dusted it with flour, then poured the batter in. I baked it in the oven for 40–45 minutes at 180°C, and once it was done, I let it rest for 1 hour.

Well, friends, this is how our delicious cake turned out—it has a very distinctive, beautiful golden color. I knew it was ready by inserting a wooden barbecue skewer; if it comes out with batter still on it, that means it needs more time to bake—otherwise, we know it’s done! 🤌🏻
I hope you enjoyed today’s recipe! I’ll sign off now—wishing you a happy and lovely day☀️. See you next time! 🥰
