Tired days, and Blackforest Cakes waiting to make me happy. It was tempting at the end of the table, but then I wanted to make something different.
Too sweet, that's what I thought. I needed something to balance the dish at the time. Then I opened a refrigerator and found some fruit. It would be the perfect plan to mix and match the desserts this time.
I hope you guys enjoyed my plating idea this time, with Blackforest Cakes and fruits.
Blackforest Cakes With Taro Filling
For Blackforest Cakes, in the middle, there is Taro Cream filling. The cream can later also be used to complement plating to create fine texture details.
Orange Slices and Longan
I'm glad I have an Orange. They make beautiful orange slices for decorating desserts.
I also have longan. The advantage of using longan on plating is that we can fill the longan with sauce.
The trick is to remove the longan seeds that are in the middle of the flesh. Be careful when removing the seeds so that the pulp does not break and we can still use it to fill with sauce.
Hazelnut Sauce
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a sauce that was more fruity or even sourer. I wish I had found strawberry sauce in the pantry, but I didn't. So, I'm still using Hazelnut Sauce for plating this time.
I was careful not to use too much sauce because the taste of the cakes was already very sweet.
PLATING TUTORIAL
Here we go! Let's start plating. Don't forget to prepare slices of cakes that will be used for plating.
Also prepare the necessary fruits, and sauces, as well as some other details if any.
Form the sauce on a plating plate. Here I created an abstract shape according to what I had in mind at that time.
Oddly enough, sometimes I think of a certain shape for the sauce, but when I do the action right away, the shape will become different, like my hands have their own will to shape the sauce. LOL.
After finishing with the sauce business, it's time to put the cakes in the desired space. I put Blackforest Cakes in the middle of the plate.
Then, it's time to add the orange slices. The addition of orange slices can be used to cover the parts of the sauce that look unattractive. So it will really help the overall appearance of the plating to be fresher and have cheerful vibes to increase appetite.
The final step, I add the longan which has been filled with hazelnut sauce.
On certain sides, I also add taro cream. I'm glad the Taro Cream was helpful enough to create the details on the plate.
The end result looks fresh with bright colors and we don't focus too much on the sweet Blackforest Cakes.
How about my plating idea this time? Do you like sweet cakes or fruit cakes? You can mix the two, can't you?
