This time, I decided to try one of the new items from Kopi Kenangan. Since I couldn't visit the store in person, I ordered it via a food delivery app. This new offering is part of the collaboration with Haechan from NCT—yet another interesting and unique menu item from Kopi Kenangan.
Kopi Kenangan has introduced four new drinks, all featuring taro: Taro Milk, Taro Cloud Milk Tea, Taro Cloud Latte, and Taro Cloud Matcha. In addition to the drinks, there is a food item: choux puffs available with vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate fillings. While the pastries are not part of the collaboration with Haechan, they are among the latest additions to the Kopi Kenangan menu.
I ordered a drink and three food items. Since I placed the order online, everything was neatly packed in plastic—ensuring it was secure during transit to my location.
Taro Cloud Latte
Out of these four Taro variants, I would certainly choose the one blended with coffee—the Taro Cloud Latte. It’s a combination of espresso, hazelnut syrup, milk, and Taro cream.
To be honest, I don't like taro; I always avoid drinks or food that contain it. But this time, I was so curious that I bought it anyway—haha.
But this is delicious; the coffee flavor remains dominant, even though the taro taste is also strong. Anyone who enjoys taro drinks will surely like this. The taro is sweet and creamy.
And of course, the coffee itself tastes great—just the right amount of bitterness, blended with the sweetness and creaminess of the milk and hazelnut syrup. Kopi Kenangan’s coffee is always delicious, naturally. Even though it felt a bit unusual to my palate—since I’m not a fan of Taro—overall, it was tasty.
Oh, and the presentation of this item is lovely—a milky coffee-brown hue topped with a soft-looking purple layer.
Choux Puff
Next, I ordered the Choux Puffs. These are among my favorite Choux pastries—delicious, with a soft texture and a sweet flavor. They are truly tasty. I actually ordered all three available flavors—vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry—but I gave the others to my colleagues and kept the strawberry one for myself. Since I love strawberry flavors the most (and have tried them all), and while they are all delicious and quite similar in profile, the strawberry remains my top choice.
