At that time, I had just arrived in someone else's city by plane. I think I'm experiencing jetlag. After dinner, I felt very tired but unfortunately I couldn't sleep.
Instead of going to the bedroom and forcing myself to sleep, I invited my husband to go to a coffee shop. What, coffee??? Yes, you heard that right. It was a beautiful day after all. Being in someone else's city to enjoy the trip. So there's no need to force yourself to sleep. This only happens once in a while. 馃槉
I will drink delicious coffee and a slice of cake. There's no need for me to have insomnia because of coffee because I can't sleep because of my trip after boarding the plane!
OBSERVE THE COFFEE
Being in a strategic location with busy shops, I was told by my aunt that Amati Coffee was suitable for me to stop by. It took less than 5 minutes for me to arrive at the coffee shop, using a motorbike.
Arriving there it was already ten o'clock in the evening. They close at 12pm so I still have time to enjoy a coffee.
Amati Coffee looks busy with young people. I think they are students looking for an internet connection. Most of them carry laptops.
Well, Amati Coffee is designed to be minimalist. It also feels comfortable with some green design touches. Green plants decorated the place.
I also took a photo in their toilet mirror. There are banana trees there. Oh, ignore my face that looks very tired.
But I admit, I still have the energy to get excited about meeting a beautiful cup of coffee! Let's look at my orders.
My first thought was something that smelled good other than coffee. Also, it can accompany drinking coffee that combines in harmony with each other.
A Classic Carrot Cake
I was immediately attracted to a slice of carrot cake which was on the menu. It's been a long time since I had classic carrot cake with its distinctive cinnamon aroma.
Indeed, in my country I am not very familiar with carrot cake. We are more familiar with banana cake as our local cake. So, if you want to eat carrot cake, you have to look for a certain coffee shop. Grateful, I was able to find it at Amati Coffee.
Unfortunately, expectations and enthusiasm that are too high often end in disappointment. I was very disappointed with the taste of this carrot cake. In my opinion, they used too much cinnamon powder. That ended badly! Uuugh!
Heal My Tongue With Vanilla Latte
Yeaaaay! My tongue can be saved from how bad the taste of carrot cake is. Luckily, Amati Coffee serves delicious coffee.
Well, I don't blame them. I realize there are many people who are not good at doing many things at once. Maybe they're good for coffee, but bad for cakes.
I smiled enjoying a cup of vanilla latte. Nothing is perfect in this world. Getting angry is useless. Disappointment is natural but it doesn't need to be maintained for a long time. Switching to something better is the best option under the circumstances.
So, this vanilla latte was perfect healing for my tongue this time. 鉂わ笍
