Prúnus pádus.Cheremokha vulgaris is a tall shrub or tree with a height of up to 10 m in height, with a dense, elongated crown and a matt, cracked dark gray bark, on which white lenticles (or rusty-brown) stand out clearly. The bark is yellow inside, with a sharp almond smell. Young branches are olive or cherry-red, short-branched, glabrous.
Leaves are alternate, short-petioled, oblong-elliptical, dull from above, slightly wrinkled from below, serrate along margin, up to 10 (less often 15) in length.
