Sunrise in the city
Good morning, and have a terrific Tuesday
Of late, I have been sharing a mix of sunrise and historic buildings. Well, today I thought I would combine the two, with a few photos I took on a recent walk. I had parked by the port, but wasn't really expecting too much in the way of sunrise colors and had walked up into the Whaling City historic district here in New Bedford.
Well, as it happened, I guessed wrong, and there were some nice colors that morning, and rather than head back to the port, I thought, why not try to combine the two and catch the historic streets and buildings along with the colors of sunrise, and these shots are some of what I got that morning.
Starting with this shot looking down Rodman Street the port is across the Road at the end of this street.
Now, often with this view, I would go with a monochrome edit, with the Belgian block street and old buildings and lamp; also edit out the cars.
But with the nice sunrise colors, I left it as is to enjoy the lovely sunrise colors.
as for the Name Rodman, The Rodman name in New Bedford, Massachusetts, is most famously significant for honoring Lieutenant Colonel William Logan Rodman, a local Civil War hero, as well as the prominent Rodman family active in the city's early merchant and whaling economy

The same I could say about this one, the street we are looking down is Hamilton Street, and I do love the old lamps they have in this area.

And breaking away from historic for this last photo, this cool Rooster is made with recycled materials and is such a cool and eye-catching piece of art in the city
