El trigo esta listo para la cosecha. Como les comenté en el post anterior me preparaba para este día en el campo donde tenía sembrada el trigo. Fui al lugar y contraté a un trabajador para que se encargara de la cosecha. Mientras iba por el camino en mi camioneta pase a echarle un vistazo a los campos de colza, que también están próximos a estar listos para cosechar. Están creciendo excelentemente bien.

The wheat is ready for harvest. As I mentioned in my previous post, I was preparing for this day out in the field where I had planted the wheat. I went to the site and hired a worker to handle the harvesting. While driving there in my pickup truck, I stopped to check on the rapeseed fields, which are also nearing harvest time. They are growing exceptionally well.

Deje mi camioneta debajo de unos grandes pinos. Una vez en el campo de trigo a eso de las 4:40 pm (Hora del juego) la cosechadora ya se colocaba en marcha para llenar su tolva con mucho trio, la verdad este terreno es grande.

I left my pickup truck under some large pine trees. Once I was in the wheat field—around 4:40 PM (game time)—the combine harvester was already starting up to fill its hopper with a vast amount of wheat; the field is truly huge.

A medida que mi trabajador iba cosechando y una vez llena su tolva, el detiene la cosechadora para yo a bordo de la volqueta pueda posicionarme a un lado y vaciar el trigo. Así trabajamos una larga jornada, el cosechaba y yo recibía el trigo y lo llevaba a mi granero.

As my worker harvested, once his hopper was full, he would stop the combine so I could pull the dump truck alongside and unload the wheat. We worked a long day like that: he harvested, and I received the wheat and hauled it to my granary.

De camino al granero pare a mirar como esta de bonito el cultivo de colza, este me deja mucho dinero ya que tiene un mejor valor en el mercado. Lo cierto es que así pasamos largas horas en esta rutina d cosecha. Eran casi la 7 de la noche y aun estábamos en el campo.

On the way to the barn, I stopped to admire how beautiful the rapeseed crop looked; it’s a real moneymaker for me since it commands a better market price. The truth is, we spend long hours caught up in this harvesting routine. It was nearly 7 p.m., and we were still out in the fields.

Mi ultimo viaje al granero fue pasada las 9:00 pm, esto quiere decir que tuvimos una jornada laboral cosechando de unas 5 horas aproximadamente. Después de dejar mi último viaje de trigo en el granero de la granja, fui a parquear el tractor con la volqueta al galpón para no dejarla a la intemperie.

My last trip to the granary was after 9:00 PM, which means we had a harvesting shift of approximately five hours. After dropping off my final load of wheat at the farm's granary, I went to park the tractor and dump trailer in the shed so as not to leave them out in the open.

Después de esto eché un vistazo a los niveles de almacenamiento de mi granero, pude ver que tengo almacenado 31.021 litro de trigo, esto dentro del granero se mide en litros. Se supone un retorno de 23.498 dólares por motivo de venta en la empresa “Maplefiel Mill” que es la que al momento esta pagando mejor por la venta de trigo, aquí hay muchas empresas que compiten entre si bajo el esquema de oferta y demanda, estoy hace el juego muy interesante y estratégico.

Para estimar este valor solo divido la cantidad de litros entre 1000 la cantidad referencia dólar/litros por dólares de la oferta, es decir 31.021 litros de mi almacén / 1000 esta da 31.021 porciones x 758 = 23.513 dólares exactos que me retornaría la venta del trigo.

After that, I checked my barn's storage levels and saw that I have 31,021 liters of wheat stored (quantities inside the barn are measured in liters). I anticipate a return of $23,498 from a sale to "Maplefiel Mill," which is currently offering the best price for wheat; there are many competing companies here operating under supply-and-demand dynamics, making the game very interesting and strategic.

To estimate this value, I simply divide the number of liters by 1,000—the reference unit for the dollar-per-liter price—and multiply the result by the offer price. Specifically, 31,021 liters from my storage divided by 1,000 gives 31.021 units; multiplying this by 758 yields exactly $23,513 in returns from the wheat sale.

Necesito comprarme una empacadora que cuesta 58.000 dólares, es la mas barata para aprovechar la paja que queda sobrando en el campo producto de la cosecha de trigo, esto también se vende o se guarda para los animales a futuro. También necesito una hileradora para hacer más fácil la recogida para el empacado de la paja. Esta me cuesta 9.000 dólares la mas barata, muestras mas cara mas metros abarca. Y después debo comprarme una recogedora de pacas, esta me cuesta 25.000 la mas barata y solo te permite recoger 3 pacas, prefiero reunir y comprar la unas mas grande que vale 39.000 dólares, pero recoge de a 8 pacas al mismo tiempo.

I need to buy a baler that costs $58,000; it’s the cheapest option for utilizing the leftover straw from the wheat harvest, which can either be sold or stored for livestock. I also need a windrower to make gathering the straw for baling easier. The cheapest one costs $9,000, though more expensive models cover a wider area. Finally, I need to buy a bale collector; the cheapest one costs $25,000 but only picks up three bales at a time, so I’d rather save up for the larger model that costs $39,000, as it collects eight bales at once.
