MY EVERYTHING....PART 2.
As I approached the front of ndukas house, briskly with my thumping heart, he and his friends rounded me admist their usual laughter and jest.
Before I could summon courage to ask them out of my way,Nduka reached my clothes and grabbed my left breast. I immediately screamed in shock as my tray of pap came rushing down,emoting all the pap in the wet and muddy ground. they fled admist laughter.
In tears and confusion, I picked up the pap which were already stained and dirty and headed home.mama would kill me ,I had only sold 5 pieces.
mama who was sweeping immediately jerked up when she saw me crying. I watched as her expression transformed from confusion to fear and finally rages as I narrated my ordeal to her.
mama quickil grabbed her top and the koboko hanging over they door and raced down with me where it all happened.
I pointed at Nduka particularly who was in the process of escaping. I watched as mama chased him down the streets like a child. I had never see her run like that before neither have I seen her so angry.
mama caught him like a thief,threw him to the ground and flogged him mercilessly with her koboko.
I counted until I lost count of the strokes and the continous kicks.mama flogged him until Ndukas mother came begging.
mama cried so bitterly as she dropped the koboko and tears tickled down her cheeks as she hugged me so tightly.
so mama is this fragile and scared of anything happening to me 'i muttered to myself.
