The “autistic” issue itches and spreads, I don't share the selection criteria, as psychologists now want to encompass a large set of characteristics within what is now called an “Autistic Spectrum”. If a person is withdrawn he/she is autistic, if a person is dynamic/hyperactive he/she is autistic, and so on.

It turns out that from Matthew's diagnosis, I'm autistic too; I find out I'm autistic after I'm fifty. It seems to me that this is a justification for the psychologist to look for the cause of why Matthew is autistic.
Matthew is a child who is very sensitive to sounds and smells, just like me; but otherwise, he is a fully social child, he communicates, with his friends and for his age, has a large vocabulary. When I have taken him to therapy, I have observed “truly autistic children”, as depicted in the film Mercury Rising (1998). Mercury is a secret code designed for the protection of National Security and which has cost the US government two billion dollars. By chance, Simon (Miko Hughes), a nine-year-old autistic boy with a prodigious ability, manages to crack it. The decryption means the death of his parents and puts the boy's life in danger. Art Jeffries (Bruce Willis), an FBI agent as upright as he is indomitable, becomes his sole protector.
Simon, in Mercury Rising, represented what it truly meant to be autistic in 1990. Even today, we don't know what to expect because of the myriad of ward characteristics that the syndrome encompasses. It is for these reasons; because of the confusing spectrum, that the numbers have quadrupled…
My niece Gilda, who lives in Venezuela, tells me that teachers, not having the necessary tools to manage the behaviour of certain children, now choose to force the parents of these children to take their children to the psychologist. It is like delegating the child's education to another “professional”. Immediately the psychologist receives the child, he/she labels him/her as “autistic”.

Certainly, I am disturbed by what you read on social networks related to autism, everything I discern throws me into a pit where all human beings coexist.
The entrepreneur is successful because he is autistic, and the musician's masterful performance is a consequence of his autism. All the Nobel Prize winners have been autistic, the great scientists and their discoveries because they are autistic… The range of possibilities is so wide, don't you think?
And the trade that has been implemented under the autistic slogan. Do you know how expensive gluten-free and casein-free foods are…? And don't even think about the cost of consultations and therapies… Friends, it is clear that the quality of the food we eat, scientifically speaking, augurs a quality of life in our golden years (we are the product of our abuses and excesses).
We are still in expectation of what we will be tomorrow: will we continue to be overpopulated, or will nature itself decimate us? We continue to create needs to justify ourselves. Until further reflection.
