On today's edition of #TTT by @ablaze, I chose to share three songs with the theme "Humanity and friendship".
Kirk Franklin -Lean on me
Humanity!!!
Funny how people are only kind to people who are close to them. or to those who can reciprocate the kindness, but is it supposed to be so?
This song reminds me that everyone deserves to be shown kindness regardless of their background, race, or religion.
The widows, widowers, orphans, homeless, jobless, and even those physically challenged are humans too, can we let them lean on us?
The video shows a man who was homeless and a little child who was abandoned, however, someone was kind enough to accommodate them.
Whatever happened to humanity? I wonder why the world has grown so cold and now cruel. Is it because of how we were raised or how we see how loveless the world is already?
I love the lyrics of this song as it motivates me to extend kindness to everyone, I want to be a shoulder for people to lean on, and I want to be always there for people especially the needy.
Bruno Mars -count on me
So, I am saying you can count on me, one thing I know is to have a friend, you must be a friend.
How can you be a friend?
Being approachable, always wearing a Look that makes it easy for others to walk up to you and say hello.
It also means being cheerful and generous, being able to communicate, and being ready to be a confidant.
This song makes me wear smile when I remember how much my friends count on me when they are stuck, I do not make them feel like they bothering me or they are a burden to me, I am always happy to help out even if it means I would have to go out if my way.
Some years back, I was at work one day when a friend of mine called me that e had an accommodation and that she was stuck, she doesn't call me often, but whenever she does it is when she needs something from me, rather than getting angry, I was excited that I was one person she can count on, I had to leave my workplace to her house to help pack some stuff down to my place until she could find her balance.
Be glad when people reach out to you for help, it shows you are a true friend and that they know they can count on you.
Be a light in someone's darkness
Vitamin C Friends forever
This song was one song I hummed right from my childhood, I loved the beat as at that then, I didn't know the lyrics so well but the video always got me excited.
It reminded me of the crazy okay I had back then in high school and how the friends we made when we were in high school were genuine friendships, simply because we were young and sincere.
No, makeup, no show-off, just young and genuine hearts getting to know each other better.
However, we eventually grew up and parted, I remember how much I cried on my prom night as I couldn't bear how much I would miss my friends.
Sadly, some friends outgrew us or we outgrew them, but we hoped to be friends forever and be there for each other when they need us.
I still love the song and so I decided to share my favorite high school song.
All videos were gotten from #Youtube.
