Last week I went to the forest!
And I found nothing!
That was a little disappointing because I had left with so much enthusiasm. There were no mushrooms to be found, except for a few flowers that managed to hide and find shelter from the scorching sun, a few languishing bags, and dried twigs.
But then, while I was on the way back, right next to the sidewalk.
From a distance, it appeared to be an oyster mushroom, despite the fact that they were already drying.
But no, these are as Google image searcher said Stereum hirsutum.
They are covered in short, fine hairs, haven't touched them (still coward), mostly could be found on rotting tree corpses, one would say typical of mushrooms. Except this tree was quite healthy and not intended to rotten soon, but who knows, maybe mushrooms are announcers.
It was strange to capture these while the full restaurant terrace nearby is staring at you, like "What the hell she is photographing there!?"
I did some research on them as well, and, interestingly, these guys are about to be covered in moss, fall apart, and hopefully seed more baby shrooms.
Unfortunately, a moment of moss attack will be missed, although watching and shooting that process would be a lot of fun, anyone has ever done that?
What a surprise, I haven't cooked anything with mushrooms these days, everyone seems to have had enough of them, but I offered, I had an idea. (:
