Este post voy a iniciarlo de una manera diferente, ya que el hongo que les voy a enseñar a continuación dimos con él en el momento en que nos disponíamos a regresar a la entrada del predio. Este hermoso ¨genero¨: es uno de esos bonitos que siempre ansiamos encontrar, dado que no son de esos que los ves con mucha frecuencia.
I’m going to start this post a bit differently, since we stumbled upon the mushroom I’m about to show you just as we were getting ready to head back to the property entrance. This beautiful ¨genus¨: is one of those lovely ones we always long to find, given that they aren't the sort you see very often.
Este es de esas ¨especies¨ : que han cambiado el comportamiento; hace algunos años eran de esos que los encontrábamos con frecuencia; ahora son hongos estaciones, que los encontramos en algunas temporadas. Más allá de ser un hermoso ejemplar, este es de esos tipos que hacen mucho por el ¨medio¨¨ambiente¨ y por las personas.
This is one of those ¨species¨ : that have changed their behavior; a few years ago, we used to find them frequently, but now they are seasonal mushrooms that we only encounter during certain times of the year. Beyond being a beautiful specimen, this is one of those types that does a lot for the environment and for people.
Con este ¨genero¨: de hongos pasa lo mismo que con el anterior, son de esos ejemplares que los encontrábamos casi a diario; ahora son de esas especies que damos con ellos unas escasas ocasiones al año. Son hongos realmente hermosos de ver; su apariencia es preciosa y muy llamativa. Hay muchas personas que los usan para preparar exquisitas comidas con ellos.
The same applies to this genus of fungi as to the previous one: they are specimens we used to find almost daily, whereas now they are species we come across only on rare occasions throughout the year. They are truly beautiful fungi to behold; their appearance is lovely and very striking. Many people use them to prepare exquisite meals.
Como pueden leer, estaba en lo cierto que con la cercanía de la primavera veríamos muchas especies hermosas de hongos en la reserva, lo que ha sido maravilloso para fotografiar con el ¨teléfono¨ : ¨Movil¨ de Gaby. Estamos muy felices con las especies de hongos que hemos hallado esta semana durante nuestra caminata por el predio.
As you can see, I was right that with the approach of spring, we would see many beautiful mushroom species in the reserve—which has been wonderful to photograph using Gaby's phone: . We are very happy with the mushroom species we found this week during our walk around the property.
