Believe me, I had no idea I would be able to see mushrooms in my own garden, or even that mushrooms would grow there.
I had gone to the garden to sow mango seeds鈥攕o that mango trees could be grown鈥攂ut I was surprised when I saw these mushrooms growing beside a neem tree.
Looking at these mushrooms, they reminded me of the drums upon which drummers often beat.
I searched using Google Lens and discovered that this mushroom belongs to the Agaricus campestris species.
Just a few days ago, I plucked leaves from the Neem tree growing near these mushrooms and drank an extract made from them; it is said that Neem has a bitter nature and helps eliminate excess substances and toxins from the body.
And since these mushrooms are growing right next to the neem tree, I suspect they might have absorbed a hint of its bitterness; they can cause a sensation of gastrointestinal irritation.
A lot of excess weeds were growing around the spot where these mushrooms had sprouted, so clearing them away was essential. While I was clearing the weeds, I accidentally uprooted one of the mushrooms, but this gave me the opportunity to examine its gills.The gills of this mushroom were quite beautiful when viewed from below.
As I looked at those mushrooms, they appeared just like an egg that had been fried in a pan over a fire.
Anyway, I had gone to the school for a specific purpose,part of a mission I鈥檓 currently on: planting mango seeds so that trees can grow and I can contribute, in some small way, to the health of the planet. So, that is exactly what I did; I planted a mango seed, hoping a small sapling would sprout from it.
