After retrying the mission, I caught Jimmy on the car hood and positioned the vehicle for Franklin to leap down safely from the moving yacht. The car engine failed shortly after, forcing us to drop off the damaged car at Los Santos Customs before driving Jimmy home in one piece.
The replay attempt went much smoother, as I was trying to fix the earlier mistake where Jimmy got caught up on the boom and Franklin was ambushed on deck.
This time, I positioned the car perfectly beneath the moving yacht, catching Jimmy cleanly as he dropped onto the hood.
Franklin remained trapped on the boat trying to recover it, so I sped back up into position to give him an exit route. He took the leap, landing safely on our car roof just in time.
We tried to give chase to reclaim the stolen boat, but the thieves gained too much distance. Heavy smoke suddenly began pouring out of the car engine, putting an end to the pursuit and forcing us to abandon the yacht.
Franklin pointed out that a repair shop was located nearby, requiring me to pull a U-turn and head toward Los Santos Customs.
Michael sounded completely devastated, acting like losing his boat was a horrific nightmare, while Jimmy tried to downplay it by saying it was just a physical object and that Michael still had his son back. Michael clearly was not comforted by the thought.
Driving past Los Santos International Airport, I took in the sights of the landscape and the massive freeway flyovers spanning the area.
Even though the engine was severely damaged and running slowly, the vehicle held together long enough to reach Los Santos Customs by the airport perimeter.
Upon arrival, Michael stepped out of the car, leaving Franklin behind with instructions to get the car repaired. Jimmy stayed behind with Franklin while Michael walked off to hail a taxi, telling Franklin to stop by his house later so they could talk.
Franklin took the car inside Los Santos Customs to complete the repairs, a spot useful for respraying vehicles or shaking off wanted levels. Once the vehicle was fixed, we pulled out of the garage.
My main goal for the drive back to Michael's mansion was to avoid wrecking the newly restored car. Keeping the car pristine, I successfully navigated the streets and delivered Jimmy home in one piece.
After parking in the driveway, Franklin stepped out of the vehicle. Jimmy tried to strike up a friendly conversation, pointing out that both of them were currently unemployed and should hang out.
Franklin brushed off the attempt, reminding Jimmy that he had his number if he ever needed anything, before heading off.
Completing the sequence passed the mission, unlocking contacts for both Michael and Jimmy on my phone while leaving the vintage car parked at the residence.
Until the next frame drops, keep exploring. Alpha Gamer, out.
