People try to avoid pain at all costs and try to maximize comfort whenever possible. And that's one of the worst things you can do for your improvement.

Pain is a guiding signal pointing to something important that requires your attention.
Comfort is a terrible advisor, it tells you that you're doing well and you should stay here. But that is just you deceiving yourself, getting yourself stuck while feeling good about it.

The problem is that we don't know how to correctly identify and translate our feelings and emotions.

Here's how this works: because pain doesn't feel good we actually think it's bad(we even label it as such: bad feelings /emotions);
Because comfort feels good we think it's actually good(we always want good vibes /feelings).
What a clever way to trap ourselves...

Thank God whatever created us was /is a lot smarter than us, otherwise, we would be doomed by our own infinite ignorance.

As people, although we can be, act and do very stupid things, luckily we also come equipped with a feedback system meant to give us a taste of our actions or environment, we can get depressed and feel pain.

And sometimes that's exactly what we need; it's the ability to mess up and break things and feel the pain. Because when we can see our pain we start looking for solutions, we seek to understand and that's when we start seeing better ways and actions that we could take to upgrade ourselves or improve the situation.

All the great things that we do enjoy today, were one day just somebody else's frustration, a state of lacking they were in that led to wanting to do something about it. And that's the key: pain leads to action; and thank God for our ability to feel pain and discomfort because otherwise, we would definitely ignore it.

Pain creates a need for better actions, better actions lead to better results, better results create temporary comfort, comfort creates a good feeling, good feeling wears off, it feels bad, the loop repeats.
But the critical element in this loop is pain, it's actually what sets you in motion; without pain, there would be no progress.

If something is painful ask yourself why, what's creating the pain, and how could you make it go away?
If pain is pointing you towards something, see what that is, get the message, and then act on it because otherwise, it will never go away.

A little bit of short-term pain coming from hard action is always preferable to long-term permanent pain coming from inaction.
Pain is your friend, it gives you good advice it has your best intentions in mind, you might as well listen to it.
