It seems like school demands get worse every year. It’s really been very stressful these past few days because there’s no break—the teacher is always assigning something different to print. I don’t have a printer, so it’s hard for me to print anything on a Sunday afternoon (Yes, it almost always happens at that time, especially on weekends.) They usually ask for these printouts by the next day without considering that we might not have time to go print them. Plus, I find it unbelievable that last year they asked us for money to buy a printer, and apparently they didn’t buy one because we’re still the ones who have to figure out where to print things ourselves.
And not only that, but they’ve also sent us the covers we’re supposed to draw for each subject, which means that if I wanted to draw my son’s favorite character in his notebook, I can’t do it... Not to mention the mess they made with the subjects by putting three in one notebook and three in another—I feel like that’s way too confusing and disorganized. I don’t understand why they don’t ask for one notebook for each subject.
It wasn't until this week that I was able to cover the notebooks and organize them because they hadn't decided how the notebooks would be divided, and it was like everything came all at once, so I spent the whole day today doing that. It was a long and, above all, confusing task, but I managed to finish, and now all their notebooks are covered, organized, and have margins.
Not to mention that we fell way behind because my son got sick—he hasn't been able to attend classes, but he'll be back tomorrow, and we'll see what happens. It's got me on edge—there are so many things left to do, and I feel like it's all just drawings and prints and no real content. As always in this country, education is pathetic.
