Early shopping (for a birthday)

A partir de estas fechas el tiempo se va volando y normalmente para esta época tenemos la costumbre de comprar las cosas de navidad y de cumpleaños de mi hijo, sin embargo, este año fue un poco pesado el gasto, me duele bastante en el bolsillo ya que esta vez mi hijo quería un Playstation, la opción que menos nos iba a desangrar era un PS4, ps5 era casi imposible, asi que por ahora logramos comprar el Playstation con sus controles y un juego (esto será su regalo de cumpleaños)

From this point on, time just flies by, and usually around this time of year we’re in the habit of buying Christmas and birthday gifts for my son. However, this year the expenses were a bit of a burden—it really hurt my wallet because this time my son wanted a PlayStation. The option that would cost us the least was a PS4; a PS5 was almost out of the question, so for now we managed to buy the PlayStation with its controllers and a game (this will be his birthday present).

Asi que, aun nos falta el regalo de navidad, para lo cual creemos que compraremos varios juegos, pero no se si logremos comprar alguna otra cosa más, como siempre comprar cualquier cosa en este país es un problema, asi que fuimos con una idea a el lugar el cual averiguamos todo por whatsapp antes de ir pero al llegar las cosas eran muy diferentes a lo que nos habían comentado por whatsapp. Aun asi logramos comprarlo y bastante costoso porque como siempre NO TENEMOS DIVSIAS Y sin divisas en este país eres un pobre diablo.

So, we still need to get a Christmas gift; we’re thinking of buying a few video games, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to buy anything else. As always, buying anything in this country is a hassle, so we went there with a plan—we’d figured everything out via WhatsApp before heading over—but when we got there, things were very different from what we’d been told on WhatsApp. Even so, we managed to buy it—and it was pretty expensive—because, as always, WE DON’T HAVE FOREIGN CURRENCY, and without foreign currency in this country, you’re a poor soul.

Y siempre esta el riesgo de comprar algo sin saber cuanto te pueda durar ya que son productos básicamente de segunda mano, pero esperemos que dure bastante y funcione bien, por ahora lo probamos y todo bien, pero fue difícil hacer todo esto con el niño en casa, prohibiéndole entrar al cuarto para que no viera la sorpresa jaja, pensar que aun faltan dos meses para poder ver su carita de emoción con su Playstation.

And there’s always the risk of buying something without knowing how long it’ll last, since these are basically secondhand products, but let’s hope it lasts a while and works well. So far, we’ve tested it and everything’s fine, but it was hard to do all this with the kid at home—I had to keep him out of the room so he wouldn’t see the surprise, haha. To think there are still two months to go before I get to see the look of excitement on his face when he gets his PlayStation.

Ya veremos si podremos comprarle algunas otras cosas, estoy hasta el cuello de deudas y ha sido un mes económicamente fuerte pero tengo fe de que saldré de todas las deudas lo mas pronto posible.

We'll see if we can buy him a few other things; I'm up to my neck in debt, and it's been a tough month financially, but I'm confident I'll pay off all my debts as soon as possible.
