Simple sugar wax has been used for 100’s of years. Not much has changed over time on how to use or make it.
We use 3 ingredients
2 cups of white sugar
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup of filtered water
Other things you will need is a sauce pan, a plastic spoon for stirring, a candy thermometer, and jars to store your wax.
First combine all your ingredients in the sauce pan. Now place it in the stove over medium low heat. Now set your candy thermometer in the pan ensuring it is not touching the bottom. Now stir continuesly until the mixture reaches 255-260°F ensure you do not exceed 260°F or the wax will not work. Remove from heat and remove the lids from your clean jars. Pour the mixture into the jars replacing the lids when the liquid wax is 1/2” from the top. Now allow to cool.
You now have sugar wax. Reheat it to 120°F wipe it in the direction of the unwanted hair with a large popsicle stick. Now you need muslin fabric strips about 2.5-3 inches wide and 6” long. Rub the strip onto the wax for several seconds the wax should feel almost cool at this point. Pull the skin tight and rapidly remove the strip. Always remove it opposite way of hair growth.
The strips are reusable soak them in hot water then wash in washing machine. This is an all natural hair remover.
