No doubt social media is very addictive. Before Facebook, I was using Orkut. As I had not much friends on Orkut, the addiction for it could not develop in me. But when I joined Facebook, the whole situation changed dramatically. Lots of my friends, colleagues and relatives are on Facebook. Every day many people are joining this social media platform. I am receiving friend request from 10 to 15 people daily. I know many accounts are not genuine on Facebook. So, I accept only that friend requests which seems to come from the genuine persons. Now, I have more than 2000 friends on Facebook. My friends like my posts. I check my Facebook account regularly because it provides me that news which mainstream media doesn’t show us. Despite of presence of many social media platforms, status of Facebook is still at the top.

Once I was also addicted to tumblr.com, Twitter and Instagram but after joining Steemit, my addiction for these social media platform has subsided. I am spending much time on Steemit. It’s highly addictive. These days, musing.io has become my new love. I love to give answers of the questions which fellow steemians ask. This platform has become a hub of knowledge. I am getting regular upvotes for my answers and have started earning something for my investment of $300. I made this investment to buy Steem cryptocurrency to power up. Unfortunately, the price of Steem was around $2-3, when I made this investment but I hope that my investment will not turn into a loss.

However, I think I should spend less time on social media platforms. My girlfriend doesn’t like it as she wants me to spend more time with her. Also, addiction of everything is bad. It can harm our social, spiritual, economical and individual well-being.
