Something incredible about an evening stroll along the promenade as the sun sets next to the sea. The smell of salt and sea sand, the soft sprinkle of the ocean spray. Not much boosts your hunger like walking through soft sea-sand so a walk to the restaurant before dinner is one of the best ways to get your tummy in the mood for some good food!

This pre-dinner walk along the beach was before trying out a new fun restaurant on our road trip in Ballito back in 2022, we popped off to Taso`s Bar and Grill.

It was such a vibe place, unique crockery, fun decor, such a fun place to be for dinner. The places menu even had a comfort food section, I mean, yes!!

"Have a Kraken lekker day!"

Each of us tried such different dishes and they were all fantastic! It was so yummy, all of it.

My husband got this meal, I am pretty sure it was a BLT but can't remember, I am obsessed with the plate though...

My meal was the curry... oh, my, gosh... mouth-wateringly good. Even now looking at the picture my mouth is watering, so good! It was full of flavour, hearty and warm. One of the best curries I have ever tried.

Mom got the fanciest looking salad ever, also in the prettiest bowl. I honestly wanted to bring home all of the dishes, they were so pretty and unique and each person had a different looking plate which I absolutely loved. This salad was jam-packed with all the good things, pecan nut, halloumi balls, tomatoes, lettuce... such a good combination.

We somehow seemed to have had the place to ourselves, so it felt like quite an intimate family dinner, what a lovely night.

Walked home with a full, happy tummy this night! The menu said comfort food and the menu did not lie, the curry made my hungry tummy super happy!
