Peace War

I don't know about you, but I really love peace. I also hate war. I literally sign out most of my videos and blog posts with "peace". It's not just a figure of speech, it's a real hope and prayer. I really do want peace all over the world. I understand that human nature means that is largely impossible but we have done pretty well in recent times.

It might not seem like it, but this lifetime of ours has been the most peaceful, probably since the beginning of humanity itself. Now it seems we are entering an era that could bring forth a war not seen since the second world war, at least in Europe. I can't help but think a lot of this is due to the bravado and ego of a few men here and there. Those men that have been allocated too much power.

A line has been crossed, literally, in the middle of the night and I'm afraid we may be headed for very terrible months, if not years, ahead. I hope I'm being overdramatic and things aren't as serious as I'm perceiving them to be. After all there are conflicts all over the world. Yes, but, none of them involve the potential clash of nuclear superpowers.

Nobody wins in a war. Everyone loses. Diplomacy and compromise are always a better way out in my opinion. I can't help but think about those currently on the front line, and those on their way there. I have a friend who's on his way right now. I can only hope for his safe return.
