My name is Victory. I graduated from Federal Government College Secondary School. This is a true life story i want to share. My story can be a source of motivation to someone. Just believe in yourself no matter what.
On monday, 18th of January 2011. An amazing event happened to me. That morning in my class i had been thinking of how am going to register for my Jamb, Waec and Neco exams. Since my Dad was adamant to offset the bill. After much pleadings from the School Principal, he still insisted that i should go to my mother who was training my two elder brothers in university. He claimed he didnt have the money for the registration.
Looking back how far my mother has trained me in school considering she wasnt earning much income, i became almost frustrated cos my registration will be ending on wednesday that same week.
Honestly, i became helpless at that point. So many thought began to run through my head "what am i going to do right now?" Am i going to abandon my exams cos of no funds. At that point, i started crying and this attracted the attention of my classmate who came to consoled me and to inquire what the problem was.
My classmate to my greatest surprise gave me a shock of my life. There all agreed to help me out, by taxing themselves #1000 each. My class prefect donated #10000 to support my registration.
At that moment i began to cry the more cos i never imagined that i was loved so much like this. By the next day being tuesday the money was complete. My registration was completed courtesy to my classmate who supported me all throughout. My classmate still gave me some pocket money too.
Finally, the result for the exams was out i came out with seven(7) distinctions and two(2) credit. Am now running my internship at Nafdac as a medical Doctor. Am honestly grateful to everyone who made this dream a reality. God bless you all.
