When I saw the promt for the cc-week 53, I said to myself, ahah! It's now time to write about my experience in secondary school. And also why my NECO result is nothing to write home about. I actually had E in literature and Mathematics was cancelled.
The private school I went to was closed down which prompted my parents to take me to this public school because it was the closest.
I started my junior secondary school (3) in that school, and of course, while there were many of us who were good students, we still had a lot of bad eggs in the class.
As we were promoted to next class, most us vowed never to make troubles in the school, meanwhile, the school was notorious for making troubles every now and then. Either with the teachers or with fellow students.
Well, everyone was of good behavior till it was time for external certificate examinations.
Teachers were already applauding us for being the best set, not until the unthinkable happened.
So, came the first examination which was the West African Senior School Certificate Examination,. Ah.. From the beginning of exams to the last paper, everything went well.
I still remember the principal saying that she's proud of our set, and still urged everyone to maintain the good behavior till the final exams.
Well, after WASSCE, everyone went home awaiting when NECO examination will start.
The NECO examination started after about a month or so.
Then we started exams. We wrote some papers without any problem. Then , came the day we were supposed to write Literature papers, ahh.. that was when we had the first ever fight that disrupted the exams.
It happened that some of my classmates who didn't have desk to sit went to the junior classes to beg for it.
And one person went to an SS2 girl to beg for her desk, and she refused to give him, since exams was already starting, he forcefully carried the desk to the exam hall..
Which led to the fight between both of them.
Funny thing is that this guy had a desk, but JSS3 student had carried it away to sit and write exams too, and there was no way he could distract him.
While the invigilator was sharing answer booklets, we saw some group of people coming to fight, including the girl's mother.
Everyone begged this woman to leave the exams premises that everything will be handled by the school.
She refused. It was when the principal knelt down to beg that the students jumped out from windows like bull dogs to attack the people that came to fight.
Invigilator ran away with exam questions for sale and that's how we missed the literature exams paper 3and4.
The last one that happened was during mathematics exams, invigilator came with a civil defense corp member, of of course she did want any form of malpactice .
But the civil defense member was bent on making few bucks. She had collected money from the girl, invigilator noticing that something fishy was going on went and carried her papers.
Now, instead of pleading with the invigilator, she started dragging the pampers and it was torn, the woman dragged her by the uniform and it was torn too.
The student left exam hall, and the rest of us continued.
We thought that she has gone home, not knowing that she hid somewhere with stick waiting for the invigilator.
Just as the woman was driving out, she came out from her hiding place and hit the car's windscreen. Everywhere was blurry 😂😂
Everything got broken, and of course, Mathematics exam result was cancelled.
Most us that didn't do well in WASSCE had to resit the following year.
As for me, my WASSCE results came out very good, so they was no need of resitting another.
Afterall, I was a good student who studied hard.
