I came across this recipe today. I had read something about this a month or so ago and I thought it quite interesting.
This is a simple recipe to make a tincture using Cayenne Pepper.
What is a Tincture?
A tincture is a solution that typically uses alcohol to extract plant material or sometimes animal material into a concentrated form. To be classed as a tincture a solution must contain at least 25% alcohol and sometimes as high as 90% alcohol. There are many tinctures that can be bought over the counter. Echinacea tincture is a common form but there are lots of others.
The Recipe
This is an easy recipe to make.
The ingredients
Cayenne pepper powder
1-3 fresh cayenne peppers
50% alcohol (you can use vodka)
1 liter glass bottle
Gloves.
Instructions
Because cayenne peppers are very hot you should wear gloves when making this tincture. You don't want this getting on your skin or sensitive parts.
Fill the 1 liter bottle with cayenne powder to about 25% of the bottle.
Pour in the alcohol so it just covers the cayenne powder.
Put two or three peppers in the blender and add enough alcohol so that when blended it has a sauce like constituency.
Put this mixture into the 1 liter bottle and fill to about 3/4 full.
Fill the rest of the bottle with alcohol.
Put the lid on and shake the mixture together.
Shake the mixture 3 - 4 times a day.
Leave the tincture in a dark place for at least two weeks to 3 months depending on how strong you want it to be.
Strain the tincture and store it in a dark bottle in a dark dry place.
Dosage
For heart attacks or strokes: If the person is conscious give 5 to 10 drops by mouth and repeat after five minutes.
If the person is unconscious place 1 - 3 drops under the tongue and start CPR. Repeat every 5 minutes continuing CPR.
In Conclusion
This is a simple recipe that could save your life or the life of a loved one.
I am not a medical doctor and have very little medical training except for first aid and CPR. Having said that, I believe that this recipe may be worthwhile to have at home....just in case.
