The Walk-through of Suppadu Village Market

Suppadu Lake is a gorgeous lake in Nakhon Ratchasima with a small village. The locals gather at the base of the mountain to barter food, fruits & vegetables every evening. The weekends are the busiest and we got to experience the market on a beautiful Sunday with the warm locals. Yai Teng Mountain is a local sensation and often is overlooked by tourists visiting Nakhon Ratchasima. It was also our first time there and we were warmly greeted by double rainbows.

We were heading up to The Resort Angel Hill and stopped at the local market to stock up on supplies. The mountain is very much a camping style mountain with many resorts but there aren't any supermarkets, restaurants or convenience stores. We stocked up on what we wanted the resort staff to conjure up for us as well as prepared foods for the night's spirits drinking session.

There were many foods I've yet to try and will revisit this market in the near future. The most memorable foods were the fried pork tail & the house crickets, which I didn't even know it was possible to eat a tail.

I suppose you learn something new every day. The locals made it a delight to visit their village and I fell in love with their kindness. I will definitely be back to visit them in the near future.
