Well now there is never a dull moment here on the steem blockchain. I was here on steem yesterday enjoying the calm only to log on this evening to a very big storm.
So we have a soft fork restricting the ability of a few accounts making transactions that could be harmful to the block. I fully understand the reason behind all of this and I dont envy the choices witnesses have had to deliberate over.
I commend everyone defending the block. I also commend those that did not implement the software change. Standing true to what you believe even if it's not what the crowd are doing can be hard.
However what I am disapointed in is the level of toxicity I have witnessed on different social platforms from members of the steem community. Wow. We are a passionate bunch indeed.
The messages I have been getting from other social platforms goes something like this
"Its our f**king blockchain, go back to your own"
Well listen up, its everyone's blockchain. It's not yours, it's not mine, and as it's just been proven, it's not Justin suns either.
Let's be the blockchain everyone is welcome too. Facts are, the more of us that are using the block, the more valuable it can become. Let others be toxic, just dont reply. They will run out of shit to say after a while.
Anyway it's been a bit of a Holy Cow month on steem. Buyouts, communities, cross posting and a soft fork. The months not over yet, and we have an extra day, thank god for leap years. More time for madness.
