Hello Splinter Fanatics! đ
We're back for another Weekly Challenge of the best #Play2earn out there, @splinterlands.
Today we are going to analyze a Fire Splinter card that is a little forgotten by the vast majority of players, as its participation in battles is rare.
In this post, we will analyze Djinn Apprentice listing its strengths and weaknesses, better combat rules, and better Summoners, and list some reasons for its little use in battles.
magic attack, (2) speed, and (4) health, this at a cost of (5) mana. When I reached level 6 this monster acquire the ability Deathblow.
The image below shows the attributes of this monster at all levels. Overall it is a card that has an average attack, speed, and health attributes.
| This Monster does 2x damage if the target is the only Monster left on the enemy team. |
The following are the strengths and weaknesses of Djinn Apprenticeand the combat rules that benefit this card.
Strength: His biggest strength is having magic attack, which deals direct damage to the opponent's health. At level 1 it has (2) and at maximum level, it reaches the incredible (4) magic attack. In addition to his ability Deathblow, which doubles his attack when there is only one enemy on the field.
Weaknesses: It is a slow card with (2) speed in the initial levels and in the maximum levels I reached (4) speed, having medium speed.
Best Summoner: Summoners that give (+1) magic attack. Unfortunately in Fire Splinter we still don't have summoners with that skill. However, for those who play in Wild mode, we have the Delwyn Dragonscale Summoner. đ
Combat Rules: The following are the best combat rules for the use of this card:
Keep Your Distance:This is one of the rules that favors the use of this monster, as we are forced to scale units with ranged and magic attacks.
Equalizer: As it has medium health our star, Djinn Apprentice, can benefit in battles with this rule, where the health of all monsters is normalized by the monster with the highest health.
Armored Up: In battles with this rule they are added to all units (+2) armor, so magic units have an advantage because their attacks have passed through armor. And at the same time giving extra protection to our star who is not very healthy.
Reason for low usability: One of the main reasons is that Djinn Apprentice doesn't have synergies with Summoner Tarsa, which gives (+1) melee attack and health. Nor does he have any abilities to support the team.
Perhaps if in the future there was a Fire Splinter Summoner to give (+1) magic attack Djinn Apprentice will be seen with different eyes. For now, it is being used little in battles.
In general, the Chaos Legion and new Reward edition cards are reasonably priced due to their large number of prints and the bear market we are living in. This is good, because we can have the chance to build our deck with those cards that have a higher liquidity.
The charts below show the prices of the last 180 days of Djinn Apprentice, respectively, in its regular and gold foil versions.
Currently, the regular version of this letter is quoted on the market for 0.11 dollars and the Foil Gold version for having less impressions for 1.50 dollars. It is a cheap card due to its little use and interest of the players in this card, it is currently being quoted by the lowest historical values.
On a scale of 0 to 10 I give 6 to Djinn Apprentice, despite having great attributes it is a card that has little synergy with the summoners and Fire Splinter cards.
Our battle took place in Wild mode in Gold league under the following combat rules listed below.
In this battle we have (24) mana cost and the combat rules are Unprotected and Equalizer. By the rules of combat we decided to choose monsters with low mana and great attributes, in order to get as many monsters on the field as possible.
We chose the Summoner Pyre that gives (+1) speed to all allied units. Our opponent also chose the same Splinter, but its Summoner was Malric Inferno which gives (+1) melee attack. Who will come out better power or speed?
Below is our scaling strategy that was focused on units with low mana costs, but with excellent attributes:
| Furious Chicken has been cast as a discard card. This time it will be discarded slowly due to the Equalizer rule and will be welcome to our main tank. | |
| Next, we scaled Antoid Platoon our mini tank, which has (2) melee attacks and the Shield and Scavenger abilities. With the Equalizer combat rule these ants that have low health become even stronger, with their great resistance to melee and ranged attacks, in addition to the health that is increased when a monster dies. | |
| Soon after, we scaled Uraeus an epic card with (2) melee attack and the Sneak ability, which attacks the enemy unit from the last position. | |
| Then we scaled Serpentine Spy also with melee attack and with the ability Opportunity, which attacks the enemy unit with less health. | |
| Next, we climbed the star of this post Djinn Apprentice with (3) magic attack and with the Deathblow ability, which doubles its attack if only one enemy unit remains on the field. | |
| Finally, we scaled to Supply Runner a ranged attack card with a nice support ability Swiftness, which increases the speed of all allied units by (+1). |
I'm excited for this battle, two old enemies Pyre and Maric Inferno face each other in one more battle.
This round was given the initial Buff and Debuff of Summoners and monsters that have support abilities.
Our team received (-1) speed from the enemy unit, Creeping Ooze, in addition to losing (-1) health due to Globin Shaman with his Weakened ability.
The opposing team did not take advantage of the synergy offered by its Summoner, which gives (+1) melee attack. And climbed mostly magic attack and ranged monsters. Only his main tank is melee attack, Cerberus.
In the first round we lost our Furious Chicken, who received the first attacks. And so,
Antoid Platoon takes its rightful place, the first position, in addition to gaining (+1) health due to its Scavenger ability.
n the second round, Antoid Platoon couldn't resist our opponent's various magic attacks, however our team managed to defeat Cerberus.
The battle is fierce, despite our enemy not having a good synergy with his summoner. He used attack cards with excellent abilities, mostly debuff. In addition to using cards with speed superior to ours.
In the third round, we managed to defeat two enemy units, their secondary tank Naga Fire Wizard and Globin Shaman. With that, the battle now looks smoother and we have a great chance of winning it.
I congratulate our opponent for the excellent lineup of his team. When playing low on mana and with the Equalizer rule the wisest decision is to scale as many monsters on the field as possible, and we both did that.
In this round, we lost our Uraeus, but defeated enemy Creeping Ooze. Now there are only two enemy units left, but this penultimate unit gave us trouble due to its high speed. Yeah, we missed some of our attacks trying to hit her.
Phew!đ In the end everything worked out and we won another battle. Our star has dealt the final coup de grace on the opponent's last remaining card. As Djinn Apprentice has the ability Deathblow its attack has been doubled and we defeat it with (-6) damage.
If you want to see the full battle click on the image of the first round and don't miss any details!
This battle was fierce even though our opponent didn't choose melee attack monsters, which would have a better synergy with their Summoner, Maric Inferno. In addition to their team being predominantly magic attack monsters, our team was not prepared to counter these attacks.
Even so, we managed to win this battle and Djinn Apprentice can be seen on the field activating his Deathblow ability, which doubled his attack. I consider it a difficult ability to activate since it requires that you only have one monster on the opponent's field.
Overall, my impressions of Djinn Apprentice are average and it's a card that doesn't quite match the Summoner Tarsa, which most newbie players use. And what do you think of this letter?
