It's already Wednesday night, and this August 7th is ending well. I went shopping with my brother, and we brought food for the pets, I think in enough quantity to last for the rest of the month. The weather was cool, there was sun, but it wasn't too hot, so it was a short but pleasant outing. Besides, I like it when you go to do something, and everything goes well and without delays.
The cats and the dog have food, we humans also have a food reserve at home. So tomorrow I will go out to pay some utility bills, and I think I won't need to leave the house until the week I come back. You could say that, despite the fact that in my country there is a rather complicated situation, we are doing quite well in this part of the world.
That being the case, I am going to comment on an event, in the field of #food, that I noticed today in the calendar listing. This is a holiday that is not very widespread outside its country of origin, and has not achieved recognition as an International Day. But since it is a fruit that I find interesting, I decided to comment on Raspberry n’ Cream Day.

The holiday is of North American origin, and is related to the fact that we are in the #raspberry harvest season in the Northern Hemisphere. The fruit itself came to America with European settlers, but I am not sure that the plant is not exactly native to that continent.
Let's take it one step at a time. The plant that produces this fruit, Rubus idaeus is native to northern Asia, possibly in what is now Turkey. And it seems that many millennia ago, by dispersion, this plant reached the territory of what is now Europe. So it seems that this wild plant may have been in Europe, even before the arrival of the first hominids to that continent. But this topic has quite a few things to discuss.

Personally, I am not very familiar with the fruit. I have eaten it, but more as a curiosity at a gathering than as a common fruit in my area. But since I live in the tropics, that may be the most normal thing.
Still, I feel like trying this mix. I guess it's just, in my case, an excuse to eat (personal smile).

Ya estoy en la noche del miércoles, y este 7 de agosto está terminando bien. Salí de compras con mi hermano, y le trajimos la comida a las mascotas, creo que en cantidad suficiente como para dure por el resto del mes. El clima estaba fresco, había sol, pero no hacía demasiado calor, así que fue una salida breve, pero agradable. Además de que me gusta cuando uno va a hacer algo, y todo sale bien y sin retrasos.

Así que mañana saldré a pagar unas cuentas de servicios, y creo que luego no tengo necesidad de salir de casa hasta la semana que vine. Se puede decir que, a pesar de que en mi país hay una situación bastante complicada, nosotros estamos bastante bien en esta parte del mundo.

Se trata de una fiesta que no es muy extendida fuera de su país de origen, y no ha alcanzado el reconocimiento de Día Internacional. En lo personal, no estoy muy familiarizado con la fruta. La he comido, pero más como una cosa de curiosidad en alguna reunión que como fruta común para mi localidad. Pero como vivo en el trópico, puede que eso sea lo más normal.
Aun así, me dan ganas de probar esta mezcla. Supongo que simplemente es, en mi caso, una excusa para comer (sonrisa personal).
