I walked alone to the marina. The evening was perfect, with a touch of fall in the air. We are in between seasons. Summer is over but it is not quite autumn yet.
I love the look of the boats on the lake at dusk. They seem so peaceful and serene, like they are sleeping — resting up for their next adventure. And I love the glow of the late day sun on the boats and water.
I also love when that golden glow mellows to softer hues, as the sun sets.
After the marina, I visited a quiet but upscale neighborhood that lies on a point near the harbor. The homes there are in the $2 million range — too rich for my blood! But I enjoy walking through the area.
There’s a cute general store there, as well as a park, a municipal office and some pretty flower gardens.
