I include a link to the initial goal-setting post for 2023, for reference, if needed.

Imagine that... My land focus on Splinterlands needs a complete reshape now that the game started and the previous goals make little sense anymore.

Before the Land gameplay started, all metrics I could measure were the number of cards I had prepared and the amount of DEC I could stake on land when it started.

But those metrics made sense then. After it started, they no longer made sense.

For example, on the amount of DEC prepared for land, I haven't taken into account that I would pay for Time Crystals, and not a little, but a lot of DEC. And I expect other expenses will come along the way, which may or may not be avoidable. In this case, measuring the amount of DEC for land is relatively futile, since I start using it for purchases, and it's not often a full 10k DEC per slot anyway.

Regarding cards, setting a 500 max-level cards goal is also not practical as long as progress toward that will be made going through a bunch of lower-level cards at first, due to insufficient DEC.

That's why I'll discard both goals toward DEC and cards for staking, and instead replace them with goals to unlock my land plots. And for next year I'll most likely have goals regarding increasing the PP as a whole for my tract, without being specific with limits for each type of terrain or rarity, most likely.

Therefore, my only goal for Splinterlands until the end of the year will be to have in production at least 30 plots (starting from 25 now, with 2 under construction), following that in 2024 to unlock the rest of them. That in itself requires both DEC for staking and cards, but not a full 50k per plot and not max-level cards. The idea is to fine-tune between having higher production per plot and having enough DEC to stake without going below the requirements for 100% harvests. As more plots get unlocked, I will likely start upgrading my PP, but not at first.

Let's see what has changed since last week regarding my Hive goals.

HIVE Power (HP) + HBD in Savings Main Goal

My staked HIVE reached 37,493 HP this week, 137 HP more than last week. I am on target with the PUM challenge for December. I remained at 150 HBD in savings.

Here's what the evolution of the HP+HBD goal looks like:

At these prices, 1,233 more HBD-worth of HP and HBD are needed to complete the goal. If the price of HIVE goes up, this requirement goes down.

LEO Staked Main Goal

I (barely) staked 200 LEO this week and reached 21,700 LP. My power-up from this week is exactly what is needed to achieve my year-end target.

I currently need to stake 200 LEO weekly (same as last week) to reach the target by the year-end.

Splinterlands Land Expansion Main Focus

Land expansion's main focus extends throughout 2023. Unless I change the strategy, it will be the only main focus / main goal for Splinterlands in 2023. But there will be several 1-3 months goals.

Land Plots Unlocked

Deadline: End of 2023

Target to consider the goal completed:

  • at least 30 land plots in production

Current situation:

  • in production: 25
  • under construction (to be completed by the end of the year): 2
  • under construction (to be completed in 2024): 0

First Land-Related Goal: DEC/DEC-B Saved - Completed

This goal is COMPLETED.

Deadline (passed): When DEC-B offer runs out, either because all were sold out or because the time limit was reached (April 9th).

Target to consider the goal completed: 1.5 mil. DEC-B saved. Done!

DEC Saved 2 Goal - Stage 1 Completed, Replaced

  • [COMPLETED] Deadline stage 1: June
  • replaced with the 'Land Plots Unlocked' Goal

Target to consider the goal completed:

  • stage 1: 1.2m DEC (COMPLETED)
  • replaced with the 'Land Plots Unlocked' Goal

New Land-Related Goal: Cards for Staking on Land Stage 2 Completed, Replaced

The purpose of this goal is to build the amount of high PP cards I need for staking on my tract.

We will need to fill 5 slots per plot with staked cards, without requiring summoners (that doesn't mean they can't be used as regular cards).

So, what are the details of this goal?

Deadline:

  • [COMPLETED] Stage 1: June 2023
  • [COMPLETED] Stage 1.5: August/whenever Land 1.5 is launched
  • replaced with the 'Land Plots Unlocked' Goal

The total number of maxed-level* cards needed for staking on land: 500 (5 x 100).

  • stage 1: need 120 cards for land by the deadline (decreased from 220) COMPLETED
  • stretch goal: have optimized cards for 24 plots COMPLETED
  • stage 1.5: need 220 cards for land by the deadline COMPLETED
  • replaced with the 'Land Plots Unlocked' Goal

Comments Made

Original goal: 18k, REDUCED to 17k, by the end of 2023.

I started this week with a total of 16685 comments made.

Ended the week with 16786 comments made, which brings the number of my comments during this week to 101, which is higher than my needed weekly average.

I now need an average of 54 comments weekly to reach the goal of 17k.

Weekly Buy - ON HOLD

Currently on hold. Waiting to see if I need a little push with my goals at the end of the year, and with which goals...
