You can't deny it, Filipinos have a sweet tooth. From desserts to delicacies, most are composed of something sweet or a tinge of sweetness.
One of the known desserts of the Philippines is HALO-HALO🍧🍨.
🍬🍭🍮
Halo-halo is composed of crushed ice, ice cream (mostly Ube flavor), chocolate or strawberry syrup, nata de coco (coconut gel), leche flan (milk/egg flan), kaong (palm nuts), red monggo (red mung beans), sliced banana, sliced mangoes, sugar, condensed milk and other options like candy sprinkles and chocolate.
A lot of sweets right?
🍦🍧🍨🍫🍬🍮
Monbi's is a local Halo-halo store in Tisa, Cebu City, Philippines. Though they have a small place, it is always full of people, the regulars and the newbees. Their halo-halo is really good, like 💯 no doubt about it. What's great about it is the ice they use does not melt easily like the other halo-halo places. The ice is like ice cream but not like the ice cream's consistency. They always use Ube ice cream and the ingredients are simple. Shaved ice, Ice cream, sliced bananas, corn flakes, Nips chocolate, grated chocolate, coconut shavings, coconut gel and candy sprinkles. Sooo goood! And the best part? It's only P75.00 bucks! Really worth it.👍🏻
🍌🍦🍨🌽🌰🍫🍬
Monbi's only has 2 branches, one in Tisa, Cebu City and one at the next town of Labangon, Cebu City.
Next time you pass by this place, make sure to drop by or when you come to Cebu, try to grab an on-the-go halo-halo from Monbi's. 🍨
