Our model train adventure - part 19: The petrol station and the farm

Last Sunday we also created the second quarter of our modeltrain. Well, it is not 100% finished yet.

As we planned to have a lot of streets in this area, we painted everything with grey paint. As we knew that this paint won't be final and that we will for sure have to repaint it some day we just used universal craft paint for kids.

After everything was dry we used grass glue from Noch (61130) to glue scatter grass by Noch (08155) and "Ground Cover: Park & Beach" by Busch (7526) on the selected areas.

Then we placed the Petrol station by PIKO (more about the petrol station in this story).

And here's the farm by Auhagen (more about it in this story) we placed in the upper left corner.

That's how it then looked like from above. For the road markings we simply used white edding marker.

As you can see there is one thing missing - the ramp of the railway crossing. I tried to create one with carton, but today I decided to do it with filler insted. In today's lunchbreak we sculptured both ramps. We hope that it will dry overnight so that we can paint it tomorrow.
