This week I bought a set of 5 old "DR" railroad cars at an auction at ebay Germany. "DR" is the abbreviation of "Deutsche Reichsbahn" used to be the name of the state owned railway company of the German Democratic Republic.
All of these models have been built in the German Democratic Republic by the company Piko that was a state-owned enterprise in the German Democratic Republic.
The railroad cars have really been a bargain. I paid less then 10 Euro for all of them. Three of them are in extremely good condition, one of them is quite of them and just the big one in the back is a little bit broken. Three of them have original boxes, some of them even with the original price tags showing the price in "M" (East German mark). We are very happy with them and of course we have already tested them again and again.
