During my teenage years I became more and more enthusiastic in collection modelcars in scale 1/87 (H0). I have not counted them yet - maybe I do not dare to do so but I guess that between 1988 and 1996 I bought around 400 model cars in this scale.
At that time vintage model cars in this scale could have had a high value, but there was also the chance to find some of them in old, small toy stores for a very small amount of money. That's why I had to visit every toy store to find some of this gems.
So, for example I bought a Wiking model of a VW 411 in a toy store in Berlin for 2 Deutsche Mark that had a value of more than 50 Deutsche Mark at that time.
Well, I do not know how much money I spent in total and I do not want to know. But - hey: We have got enough cars for the model train we are going to build now!
