Greetings Friends, good to have you here. It's Weekend and I wish you the best.
Being scammed is a very unpleasant experience. Sometimes I marvel that those who defraud people of their hard earned money are conscious at all because if they have that human feeling they will never want to hurt their fellow human being. Some people who are defrauded go as far as even weep because the money that was stolen from them may be all they had or even someone else's own.
I have been scammed several times on different instances and almost all of them come in the form of investment. It wasn't like I was selfish but seeking for another means of income.
So, there was an investment where I deposited over $50. It was a friend who told me about it it. He has been into that investment for a while and earned over $500. The investment provides interest on your money everyday depending on how much you put.
First , when he told me about it I refused but he started encouraging me to invest. He even showed me evidence of where he was paid. Seeing that evidence made me believe and I decided to give it a try. I deposited $50 and in 5 days received $100. Wow, that was really a nice one and I was pleased. With that happiness I didn't withdraw my earnings. I left it all there because the greater the money the bigger the interest you get.
To my surprise, in 2 weeks, the sites started delaying withdrawal. Individuals were complaining that it takes up to 24 hours to get their money.
The staff concerned made justifications that it was because of our bank networks. The money was paid to our local bank and not wallet addresses.
In 2 days, the website started malfunctioning. We met the members and they informed us that they were on maintenance. That's one of the methods they used on people. After waiting for an additional 1 week they repaired their website and requested us to pay $100 each to recover our money there. I knew I had been scammed because that's how they start.
My friend who introduced me to the investment decided to place $100 to see if they would release his money because by then he had over $700 in there. To our greatest surprise his withdrawal was ongoing then the site was closed. He was so angry and even me. But before then he had withdrawn some money unlike me who lost my capital and earnings.
I was so angry and also learnt my lesson in a painful manner. I discovered never to be selfish and also verify investments before entering. Another factor is entering an investment early is preferable because those who join late tend not to have any advantage.
Now I prefer storing my money in crypto. At least if there's a pump I can switch back to a stable coin.
There are many strategies Fraudsters may use, but having this experience has taught me alot.
Scammers always use this type of investment. Some can say bring $10 and get $100 in 5 days. In that manner people fell victim to their activities because of the huge benefits.
Verify investment before entering and avoid investments that have lasted up to 6 months. The potential to fail is higher [just an advise tho].
Ignore links or sites you do not know. links are another method fraudster use to access your devices. If you're not confident of the link do not proceed to click no matter the benefit attached to it.
