Hello splinter nerds
Finally! Two tournaments have been added, the wealthy gambit and modern champion league which will be starting in 3 days' time, on the 14th. Two is better than nothing and they gave out the best gold foil tournament and also the best modern normal foil.
The Riftwatcher legendary monster Immolation was airdropped yesterday, it is a fire card and just looking at its four abilities, I know it is going to be one hell of trouble for the opponent.
The fire splinter just gets stronger with the arrival of Immolation... it has
Shield: This reduces the damage done by melee and range monsters to it by 50 percent, which means I can always place it in the last position and it will perform well.
Scavenger: This ability makes the monster gain one health whenever a monster from either team dies, I love this ability as it gives it more chance of being alive during a battle.
Inspire: It gives all melee units +1 melee attack, so this monster just made the melee deck of the fire splinter stronger as long as I use it in the battle, it can always inspire them to cause more havoc.
Blast: It does half the damage to the monster that is adjacent to the monster it hit, the fear of blast is the use of monsters with reflection shields, so I often use them just in case to avoid stories that touch the heart.
I was tempted to use it in a counterspell rule set, that is all monsters have magic reflect, but I really wanted to see how good it is in battle.
The first good thing about it was the fact that it made my other melee monsters stronger with his inspire ability, it added a +1 melee attack to their power, and the opponent used a sneak attacker which hit him once but the scavenger ability helped to replenish the health it lost
The blast ability also did wonders, in fact,, I just got another favorite monster and I will be mis using it for a while like the way I blindly use it in the battle I shared above even though I know it doesn't fit it and it was at a disadvantage.
