you are looking at pure neglect. your neglect. my neglect. our neglect.
oh you can still recognize some of your old companions
who worked tireless by your side without complaint
but they are different now. here by the sea they have become rustaceans.
beyond your reach and more importantly beyond your control.
they are looking back at you with empty hollow piercing eyes and it's far too late to remedy anything
many are beyond recognition
as if you never knew them
and never will
this is their world now
you are not invited and you don't belong
they have even started to become a bit frightening so better to leave now and seek your solace by the sea somewhere else. not here.
