After much planning and discussion, my sister and family finally managed to fly in from Singapore after the country borders opened on 1st April. I was so excited that I could barely sleep (like now! Cos I am bringing the boys to go meet their cousin for the first time on his 2nd birthday!)
My sister is one year apart from me, younger by 13 months. We have been each other's companion since birth. We used to fight when we were young. She bit me hahahhaha! But we are now the bestest of friends especially after we finished universities and after she got back from UK. Then some serious incident happened when she was traveling in US with her husband when a cardiac arrest happened to her husband and we became the closest of friends ever since. We chat every single day. Got even closer after she became a mom too.
So this time, when she said she is coming, I am exhilarated and want to see her on the first day of her arrival. Hence after the son's online class, I went to pack all sorts of food that I know she and her husband would love to their hotel before fetching my youngest baby sister from the train station.
It wasn't easy but yeah it happened! So glad. I only brought my eldest son as the youngest one was napping. He will get to see them later as the last they saw him was when he was a 3-month-old.
Packing Taco Bell
My brother-in-law craves for Taco Bell since he last tasted it in the US. So son and I went to pack several combos to satisfy his cravings.
Picked the baby sister. Next stop was some beef noodle in Petaling Street, a traffic congested area but I managed to find a good parking. My son suddenly said he needed to use the wshroom and thank goodness there was a very decent cafe nearby. I was mesmerized by its interior so much that I feel like returning next time to it.
Finally all done and setting off to the hotel where they will be staying only to be trapped in the after work jam. Took us a while to reach. Then some of my drinks spilled as the staff did not cap the lid tight. That was a disaster. We hurried to the hotel lobby and as my baby sister was checking in, I quickly cleaned up the mess
We were the first to reach and then my brother-in-law's younger sister joined us. We are pretty close with their family so there were so much laughter when we met her.
We made ourselves at home, explored the suite, washed all the cutleries, plates and bowls, plated out all the packed food and waited. Waiting for the family to come from Singapore and especially to see the boy whom we had only met on video calls for 2 years!
Magnificent view from their hotel suite.
Me admiring the view and sunset.
Awed by the sunset as we were waiting for their arrival!
.
They finally arrived but we got a bit too excited that we sort of scared him. He took time to warm up with us and it was fast before he could let each of his aunt carry him. He has the friendliest personality!
Me carrying him to help him familiarize with the place. Got him a foil balloon to play with while his famished parents quickly take some bites.
More photos with the beloved ones. Do you think we look alike?
My son started playing 'hide-and-scare' with his youngest cousin. It was a joy to hear their laughters!
More photos. The little boy gave each of his aunt a hug so happily but it was recorded in my video.
Us with the 2 lovely boys!
The next day, my sister and family went to KLCC and dod PCR tests with their 2 younger sisters. They had their own time while I stay back with the boys to reserve energy for the BIG day today!
Some decorations are up and more to come today. Hope the reunion of cousins will be a blast too as my brother and wife also join us today.
