Estaba ansiosa por ver de qué se trataba este evento lleguamos a Cabimas para participar en los Fit Games, bueno por lo menos en la experiencia de espectadora. Este evento, encargado de reunir a los amantes del fitness, es mucho más que una simple competencia; es una celebración del esfuerzo, de la perseverancia y de la comunidad. Desde el primer momento, supe que iba a ser una experiencia inolvidable y emocionante.
I was eager to see what this event was all about. We arrived in Cabimas to participate in the Fit Games, well, at least in the experience of being a spectator. This event, designed to bring together fitness lovers, is much more than just a competition; it is a celebration of effort, perseverance, and community. From the very first moment, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable and exciting experience.
El lugar estaba abarrotado de competidores, todos listos para dar lo mejor de sí. El ambiente estaba cargado de energía: risas, música y el sonido de las estaciones, competidores y el público que los apoyaba. Cada rincón del lugar estaba poblado de atletas que compartían un mismo propósito: superar sus propios límites. Desde los principiantes hasta los más experimentados, todos estaban allí con la misma intensidad en la mirada y un deseo latente de demostrar su capacidad.
The place was packed with competitors, all ready to give their best. The atmosphere was charged with energy: laughter, music, and the sounds of the stations, competitors, and the audience cheering them on. Every corner of the venue was filled with athletes sharing a common purpose: to surpass their own limits. From beginners to the more experienced, everyone was there with the same intensity in their gaze and a latent desire to demonstrate their capability.
Una de las cosas que más me impresionó fue el compañerismo que tenían para realizar las pruebas. Todos los participantes, independientemente de su nivel, se animaban mutuamente. En cada estación del circuito, se podía escuchar el aliento entrecortado de quienes luchaban contra la fatiga, pero al mismo tiempo, los vítores de quienes estaban a su lado, brindando apoyo y motivación. A medida que avanzaba el día, sentí que cada desafío superado era un triunfo no solo personal, sino colectivo, muchos equipos representaban diferentes academias de crossfit y ellos estaban allí para apoyarles.
One of the things that impressed me the most was the camaraderie they had while performing the tests. All participants, regardless of their level, encouraged each other. At each circuit station, you could hear the labored breathing of those struggling against fatigue, but at the same time, the cheers from those beside them, offering support and motivation. As the day progressed, I felt that every challenge overcome was a triumph not just personally, but collectively, as many teams represented different CrossFit academies, and they were there to support each other.
El circuito era variado y exigente, diseñado para poner a prueba cada aspecto de la fuerza y la resistencia. Desde levantamientos de pesos hasta ejercicios de cardio, cada estación presentaba un nuevo reto. A medida que avanzaban a través de los diferentes obstáculos, podía ver cómo sus cuerpos a veces no respondían al esfuerzo. Aunque en algunos momentos se veían agotados, la adrenalina, la energía y su compromiso, los impulsaban a continuar.
The circuit was varied and demanding, designed to test every aspect of strength and endurance. From weightlifting to cardio exercises, each station presented a new challenge. As they moved through the different obstacles, I could see how their bodies sometimes did not respond to the effort. Although at times they looked exhausted, the adrenaline, energy, and their commitment pushed them to keep going.
No puedo dejar de mencionar la oportunidad que tuve de capturar cada momento con mi teléfono. Tomé fotos durante todo el circuito, tratando de congelar la esencia del evento. Cada fotografía cuenta una historia: la concentración en el rostro de un atleta antes de iniciar un levantamiento, las sonrisas de satisfacción al completar una prueba, o las miradas de determinación en sus rostros.
I cannot help but mention the opportunity I had to capture every moment with my camera. I took photos throughout the circuit, trying to freeze the essence of the event. Each photograph tells a story: the concentration on an athlete's face before starting a lift, the smiles of satisfaction after completing a challenge, or the looks of determination on their faces.
Al finalizar el evento vimos como muchas personas se acercaban a las pistas a probar una que otra estación y comprobar si realmente era tan complejo como se veía. Mi novio fue uno de los que se atrevió a probar a ver qué tan difícil.
At the end of the event, we saw how many people approached the tracks to try out one station or another and see if it was really as complex as it appeared. My boyfriend was one of those who dared to give it a try to see how difficult it was.
