Hello Hivers!
Today I want to share with everyone one of the best investments you can make for yourself that applies even if its in the bare market. YOUR SELF, YOUR HEALTH.
One thing that I have personally observed especially in the world that we live in today is that being ‘Physically Fit’ is being neglected, and there are tons of personal reasons why we do. Our hectic work schedule, lack of motivation, lack of self confidence, low self esteem, or totally no interest in doing so. But after knowing the benefit of being `Fit`, would you do it?
On this post, I want to share to you tips on how to `Overcoming gym anxiety` and some `Benefits of doing physical exercise`. By understanding a thing or two about physical health, hopefully, gets you inspired and gets you going to the gym or do your own preferred physical activity after finish reading this post. My goal here is to give anyone the courage, motivation and confidence to start there fitness journey today!
First things First!

I know that not everyone is into fitness training such as weightlifting, sports or outdoor activities and such, and I’m not forcing anyone, but I wish to encourage and would highly recommend that everyone should include this in their routine shaping yourself to a better version of yourself and choosing to be healthy. This is a total transformation, As much as we think money is Wealth as much as we work hard for it, well so is Health and as we get healthier the more we can enjoy and create more wealth for ourselves. Make sense?
And keep in mind this is a `Lifestyle change` and not only as a
Phase. Keeping your self healthy over vanity (although that going to be one of its perks).
Overcome Gym Anxiety
Fitness journey can be hard at first. It is as uncomfortable to you as to me the first time I did, and I would totally understand how you feel about it. You may experience anxiety, no confidence or shyness, and be insecure walking in a gym for the first time. You must understand, we have all been there and it’s normal. Trust me, as soon as you have done it for a week, you will feel more confident and comfortable.

Here are some tips I can give you to help you overcome your anxieties.
Bring Your Own Gym Buddy - Being alone can spike up our anxiety, especially if we position ourselves out of our comfort zone. One best way to go about is by having a familiar face with us, doing the same thing we do, and that is a personal friend, a family member, or your partner. This will help boost your confidence and enjoyment doing your exercise routines.
Be Friendly, Make Some Friends - One thing I personally do when I’m in the gym is to lessen the tension especially when the gym is packed I would just give out a smile or a nod to anyone I pass by. You may encounter sharing a machine or equipment with others so I would suggest trying giving a friendly gesture.
Don’t Be Afraid To Ask - You may see other gym goers who seem to have achieved their goals and are already in shape. Normally this makes newbies lose their confidence for themselves or sometimes be too confident and try to go for the harder workouts or heavier weights than what they can which most of the time results in injury, instead of this, if you were able to build friends within the gym, feel free to ask them for help or advice such as how to use an equipment or how to do a certain workout.

It’s not a place of judgment - Anyone’s misconception, No one is judging you when you’re inside the gym. Trust me, I have been there, I have felt that way too. To be honest? It’s all in our head. It’s our own judgment for ourselves. In reality everyone is focused for themselves to get better for themselves, not you. Plus they would appreciate and love to help others who wants to achieve there goals as well. they may be intimidating but they would be very much happy to help you out!
Get a Fitness Trainer - If you’re a newbie, the best way possible for you to get over gym anxiety is getting a trainer. They are professionals, they exist to help the likes of you and me, and they would know better in terms of Diet, Exercise and they can definitely help you with your goals.
Right timing - If you don't want to do any of the above, this, usually my last option. Whenever I feel like I'm going to be judged, do not want to see any people, just want to have the whole gym for my self. I would always go at the most `Off` time of the day, For me to achieve this I would try out three different time of the day. midst of this following time 8-12AM, 12-4PM, 4-9PM. So Initially I would try out middle of these schedule to see how much people there are, or if the client list is right in front you, just browse the time of other people. 😬

Reap the Benefits
Always remember, being Physically fit shouldn't be a "just for now" thing. This should be a change of Lifestyle. Being fit isn't just about flexing or being sexy. Although that can be the outcome of it, but there is more to it than you think. Changing your lifestyle means becoming a better version of yourself. Some might think it's a little bit too much, or waste of time, and really it's all up to you. I am merely suggesting here.

There are a lot of different physical exercises out there, Jogging, Weight lifting, Swimming, Boxing, Walking, Dancing, Wall climbing, and the list goes on. As long as you do what you love at the same time feeling healthy, happier and better lifestyle. then you can achieve a better you!
- WEIGHT CONTROL Did you know by just sitting around, we still use energy, even we sleep our body still function, therefore we exert energy, but we eat food, and without a balance diet, even if we digest food, all the "extras" will be store as fat when due to inactivity. By default there is a standard measurement for our Body Mass Index (BMI) based on our Height:Weight ratio and you can calculate your BMI here where you can determine if you're overweight or underweight.
There is a difference between Diet to Exercise, Diet can lower your metabolic process which can delay your weight gain, but with constant exercise still proves the most effective way in losing weight.
FEEL BETTER When we do any form of exercise our brain produces a chemical hormones that helps us cope with our feelings. In the world we live in today, there are a lot of false-positive motivation as I call it some call it (toxic positivity), some will encourage you to take Pharma meds to feel better, but hey! Natural medicine is the best medicine.
- Dopamine - Also known as the pleasure hormone, mostly we gain this whenever we achieve or reach certain things that we love. Study show's deficiency of this hormone can lead to Weight gain, since we tend to eat more. Eating more isn't all bad, but we do, we must expend more energy to balance it out.
- Endorphins - Are you feeling pain? Emotional? Depressed? Why not try it in a good pain, which is exercise. Muscle pain is as equal as these feelings, but the good it's more of the good pain, our tolerance of pain gets better and we then can feel better of ourselves.
GREAT SLEEP If you haven't tried working out in any form, you may always feel restless and sleepless at the same time. Well, working out will definitely worn you off after day of doing it, your body will tell you that it needed rest. Personally, since I have started working out, I get better sleep, I don't have alarm but my body clock sets at the earliest time of the day to get through the day.
- Serotonin - This is the known hormone our body releases whenever feel happier, helps us get better sleep and better appetite.
FEEL ALIVE I personally feel better than usual because of exercise, I feel accomplished and want to accomplish more. Exercise definitely help me feel good about my self, confident, and more energetic, and main factors obviously because of the secretion of hormones said above, due to a balance diet and constant exercise.
GOOD FOR OUR MUSCLE AND BONE Reality check, we don't grow younger, and hard fact is that as we get older our body functionality gets lesser than when we are younger, our bones mass gets heavier, our muscle depletes, our collagen between spine lower. Constant Exercise, creates more muscle and help build our bone density better.
REDUCE HEALTH RISKS A combination of bad habits, too much food, lack of energy expenditures can lead to different type of chronic diseases such as Hypertension, Heart diseases, Diabetes, High Cholesterol and so on. By doing a constant exercise, reduces the risk of these types of diseases.
OVERALL
We can all live our lives as we want it, and as I have said, I merely suggest and encourage for everyone to have a constant exercise, making it a part of there lives. I do this for myself because I know much of the food and narratives that are being fed to us can lead us astray, sick, problematic and in pain. Think of it, obviously we all work for our fortune (money) to survive, to sustain our lifestyle, pay our bills and all that. Isn't it logical to have a constant exercise because being sick can lead to more hospital bill, we would hate ourselves of how we look, regrets as we get older and reminisce the time "I wish I did this, I did that before.." when that before is now? I'm sure anyone can say "I have no time for that" but in reality we're just ignoring things that we things that are hard for us to endure. I write this article with hope that I can introduce this lifestyle whoever needs it and that person pass it to his circle and so on creating a ripple effect and healthier people. Once we start change for ourselves then we can change things for others.
I tend to post health stuff every Monday as #motivation, unfortunately due to busy schedule recently this post was delayed, But yeah! I hope this help encourage you to start your fitness journey! Watch out for my next post I'll be posting understanding our Physicality and some Basic exercise you can do without any equipments! Ciao!
