Here my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #117 with one of the works done in May 20220 on the Rouen Legal Wall in Montreal. This is a collaboration between Mart and Aldarwin.

Voici mon entrée pour l'édition de cette semaine du CCC's Street Art Contest #117 avec une des œuvres faites en mai 20220 sur le Mur légal Rouen à Montréal. Il s'agit d'une collaboration entre Mart et Aldarwin :

Mart on the left with this skeleton holding a rose and Aldarwin on the right with this colored snake. But during this walk in the legal wall of Rouen, there wasn't only this work which was interesting as you'll see it with this post.

Mart à gauche avec ce squelette tenant une rose et Aldarwin à droite avec ce serpent coloré. Mais lors de ce passage dans le mur légal de Rouen, il n'y avait pas que cette œuvre qui était intéressante comme vous allez le constater avec ce post.

WHERE

On de Rouen Street under the railways (even Google : Graffiti Bridge), Montreal, Canada. Just for info Legal Wall Rouen is a place where artists can paint in peace because the activity is permitted by the City.

Sur le rue de Rouen au niveau de la voie de chemin de fer (même Google a nommé ce lieu Graffiti brige), Montréal. Juste pour rappel Mur légal Rouen est un endroit ou les artistes peuvent dessiner en toute tranquillité car l'activité est permise par la Ville.

WHO

Mart & Aldarwin

Mart** aka Marine Martinelli is a Montreal based artist and graphic designer. She studied visual arts and graduated with a masters in video games and visual arts. And she often comes to paint at the Legal Wall Rouen like Aldarwin Hernandez Garcia aka Aldarwin, Mexican artist based in Montreal who painted the right part with his strange and colorful animals.

Mart aka Marine Martinelli est un artiste et graphiste basée à Montréal. Elle a étudié en arts visuels et diplômée avec une maitrise en jeux vidéo et arts visuels. Et elle vient souvent peindre au Mur légal Rouen comme Aldarwin Hernandez Garcia aka Aldarwin, artiste mexicain installé à Montréal qui a peint la partie de droite avec ses animaux étranges et colorés.

Maliciouz

Entering under the viaduct, we find some simple but precise lettering. But something stands out, it's this portrait done by Maliciouz, an artist of Haitian origin. The style is recognizable and she defines herself as Afro, urban and contemporary. In addition, her signature is in the hair.

En entrant sous le viaduc, on trouve quelques lettrages simples mais précis. Mais quelque chose ressort, c'est ce portrait fait par Maliciouz, artiste d'origine haïtienne. Le style est reconnaissable qu'elle définit elle-même d'afro, urbain et contemporain. En plus, sa signature est dans les cheveux.

Gabriel Lenfesty & Adida

Next to it, there is this beautiful pair of lovebirds painted by Gabriel Lenfesty, a Montreal-based muralist and painter who often paints birds. The two birds are on a background made by Adida Fallen Angel, Montreal artist and photographer, with this Love calligraphy. Cool effect with the dripping.

Juste à côté, on retrouve ce superbe couple d'inséparables peint Gabriel Lenfesty, muraliste et peintre basé à Montréal qui peint très souvent des oiseaux. Les deux oiseaux se trouvent sur un fond réalisé par Adida Fallen Angel, artiste et photographe montréalais, avec cette calligraphie Love. Cool effet ce dripping.

On the left, Banr (?) painted this funny one-eyed goat. No information on this artist despite the signature. And on the right, we find the wonderful world of the OrigAMI Explorateur, a Montreal-based artist who likes to drop crane-shaped origami with his murals.

A gauche, Banr (?) a peint cette drôle de chèvre à un seul œil. Pas d'information sur cet artiste malgré la signature. Et sur la droite, on retrouve le monde merveilleux de l'OrigAMI Explorateur, artiste basé à Montréal qui aime déposer des origamis en forme de grue avec ses murales.

Dodo Ose & Axe

And we finish this first part with the work entitled Kid Karton with above the lettering Chupacabras aka goat sucker, fantastic creature in all Latin America realized by Axe and Dodo Ose, two artists members of the K6A crew. I don't know if the two Chupacabras are there to protect the child or to haunt his nightmares (the second hypothesis seems to me the most probable).

Et on finit cette première partie avec l'œuvre intitulée Kid Karton avec au dessus le lettrage Chupacabras aka suceur de chèvres, créature fantastique dans toute l'Amérique Latine réalisée par Axe et Dodo Ose, deux artistes membres du collectif K6A. Je ne sais pas si les deux Chupacabras sont là pour protéger l'enfant ou hanter ses cauchemars (la seconde hypothèse me semble la plus probable).
