I still have a lot of murals to present from the last edition of the Street Art festival Canettes de Ruelle, so I'm picking up the pace a bit. Today we discover two works made on the buildings which are in the back of the houses. Often they're used as sheds but more and more with the price of houses in Montreal, they're renovated to enlarge the house with new rooms. Unrenovated is often ugly so painted is better 😀.

Il me reste encore pas mal de murales à présenter de la dernière édition du festival Street Art Canettes de Ruelle, alors j'accélère un peu le rythme. Aujourd'hui on découvre deux œuvres faites sur les bâtiments qui se trouvent à l'arrière des maisons. Souvent ils servent de remise mais de plus en plus avec le prix des maisons sur Montréal, ils sont rénovés pour agrandir la maison avec de nouvelles pièces. Non rénovés c'est souvent laid alors peint c'est mieux 😀.

The lettering at the bottom was done by Tenscrew, an artist from Metz in France now living in Quebec. Nice letters with these fires that make the connection with the part of Magic Hob, writer also installed in Montreal, known for his pair of "running legs". I knew him for that. Very cool work with his cans that destroy the city. A bit like some people think that graffiti is a threat to a city. But this festival proves the opposite.

Le lettrage en bas a été fait par Tenscrew, artiste provenant de Metz en France maintenant installé au Québec. Belles lettres avec ces feux qui sont repris dans la partie de Magic Hob, writer installé aussi à Montréal, connu pour "sa paire de jambes qui courre". Enfin je le connaissais pour cela. Très cool œuvre avec ses canettes qui détruisent la ville. Un peu comme certaines personnes pensent que le graffiti est une menace pour une ville. Ce festival prouve le contraire.

Zorkball & Kid Oldman

In the same alley, for the 40th anniversary of Peru143, a Peruvian artist, Zorkball made this very original lettering at the bottom of the alley with a piece of art by Kid Oldman, a Montreal artist, magician, musician (Bandcamp). Cool birthday present...

Dans la même ruelle un peu plus haut, pour les 40 ans de Peru143 artiste péruvien, Zorkball a réalisé en bas ce lettrage très original avec au dessus une œuvre de Kid Oldman, artiste, magicien, musicien (Bandcamp) montréalais. Cadeau d'anniversaire très original.

Just because the garden door was open, I took the opportunity to take a picture of a wall made by Cryote and Waxhead during a previous edition. You can easily recognize their style.

Juste parce que la porte du jardin était ouverte, j'ai profité pour faire une photo d'un mur fait par Cryote et Waxhead pendant une édition précédente. On reconnait facilement leur style.
